They just dusted off the old "Underdog" buzzword that they use for jobbers when they don't want to verbally bury them.

Did that shit with Evan Bourne a while back with Cena when he needed a tag partner and people gave more of a shit about Sydal.

I think Samoa Joe did the same thing with Eric Young when Scott Hall no-showed a PPV that Joe and Nash were tagging in...

Anyhoo... to get right to the point, Jackman was there to pimp his movie, do the angle for the night and was smart enough not to oversell it without being phony.

Honestly, Jackman could manage during a PPV if he wasn't doing anything and I wouldn't mind.

I thought the Jackman-Ryder match played out well...one of the few actual Guest Host matches that worked for me.

I'd like to see Ryder actually get into a program with someone.

Underwhelming show, coming out of a solid summer. When I say these, I mean by WWE standards... so I give them the benefit of the doubt being saddled with a corporate structure that doesn't get wrestling, and a creative dept. that has never been involved in wrestling.

I thought Punk was really weak in this one... the introductory segment, plus all follow ups, did nothing for me.

Henry was awesome, though beating up Jerry was superfluous. Could have ended with the slapping of the belt saying, "This is all that needs to be said." Still, generated a TON of heat.

I was REALLY disappointed to see Sheamus thrown into one of those pointless six man tag matches until he squashed the lot of 'em. Sheamus should be a major contributor and needs to be treated as a main eventer, always.

Like the Jackman stuff, like others said, for a guest host spot, it kinda worked.

Far from it. This new Steel robot movie already has a sequel in the works.

He's set to co-star in a film version of Les Miserables opposite Russell Crowe next year.

No date announced but he's confirmed for the lead role in The Greatest Showman on Earth, a musical film about P.T. Barnum.

He'll be the lead in the 2013 film 'The Wolverine' which should be another big blockbuster.

Next spring, he'll be in an ensemble comedy film 'Movie 43' which features a shitload of people in its different segments.

Plus, he'll be in Dreamwork's 'Rise of the Guardians' (voice-wise) next fall.

The man is busy as a mfer.

Overexposure and being in one of those "full ensemble casts" is a one way ticket to movie jail. He'll be putting out Direct to DVD in no time. Especially if these flicks are stinkers...Jackman gon' git got.

I couldn't care less about Matt Hardy at this point, but I couldn't help but this.

He says he's going to rehab on WWE's dime. Just so happens that authorities recently raided his place and found a bunch of drugs.

He's been charged with "possession with intent to deliver anabolic steroids, possession of Ectsasy, maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia."

                  What morons.

It's really awful right now. It makes me long for when wrestling was just below-average like in 06. Both the top companies are just unwatchable at this point...

Remember how bad wrestling was in 1994? Then ECW happened, then Nitro, then the NWO.

Then the indies got hot in the dry post Attitude era, and guys like Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Punk, AmDrag, Low Ki, who grew up watching etc freshened things up. Now those guys are well into their 30's and most of them are making (well deserved) big money for TV promotions as they head into their veteran years.

Wrestling needs another kick start for sure. You won't see it coming, it will just happen.

Unless ROH is able to get a bunch of hot talent again, we're in for a long dry spell.

ROH is what it is, they have gone just about as far as they can go with the head dropping, athletic indy style. Cary Silkin recognized it years ago and ousted Gabe. There is no more "hot talent" that they already don't have. Look at Gabe and some of the guys he has pushed in DGUSA & EVOLVE. When Sami Callihan is the hot indy name of the moment, you know the well has dried up. There are some diamonds in the rough, but for the most part, the indy revolution of the last decade is dead. Mike Bennett is the big ROH prospect, and he's straight out of a WWE casting call. Mediocre worker with big muscles.

If the indy stuff or ROH was going to be the next big thing, it would have happened already. ROH already peaked asthetically. Give them credit for making it to national TV and briefly being on mainstream PPV. They really are the modern day ECW in that regard, coming up from nothing to national TV in a few years time.

I still have some hope that Kenny King turns into a pretty big star but he's not the greatest talker.

I'm a little worried about the talent well drying up. Charismatic young guys who can work a match like Aries and Alex Shelley are becoming fewer and further between. There's less and less guys who either A) command attention or even play a character well ala Fallen Angel, B) freak athletes from a Big Show/Lesnar or Rey/Juvi ends of the spectrum, or C) Guys who can work circles around anyone in a young Am Drag, Angle, HBK, Owen Hart, etc. Nothing looks great down the pipeline. Ask anyone on any board who is the next breakout star or who would make the most of a great opportunity and you get names of guys with average builds, slightly above average ring work, average charisma, average carpentry skills... Nobody stands out anymore. And the guys that do, like Richards, are hardly fresh faces. I really expected more kids who grew up during the Attitude era to become a part of a new wrestling boom era. That doesn't seem to be the case. It looks like it's going to be more of the same. String bean spot monkeys in the minors, failed pro athlete/body builders in the WWE...
