First show is up online. If you're a paid member you get it Monday, unpaid it shows up Thursday. Liking the format, feels much more personal, more real. Disappointed in few matches in the debut show, but I guess they needed to do a lot of exposition to get rolling. Definitely better than anything else on TV right now.

Look for the weird douchebag with the "#IWantWrestling" sign in the front row.

ROH show is live for everyone now.

I'm in the front row with a black hat on backwards #IWantWrestling sign probably 4-5 down from the entry way front row.

One of the main reasons that Vince McMahon blew a gasket last week was that the Summerslam buyrate has come in and is was not what was expected. This year's show headlined by John Cena vs. the returning CM Punk with Triple H as referee drew 301,000 PPV buys which is DOWN from last year's 350,000 buys. So as I had previously stated, they rushed the Punk angle and killed all momentum they had with him as well as HHH not drawing more fans to see the show as they expected by putting him in as referee.

              Worst Summerslam buyrate ever.

              Probably Punk's fault!

No one is a draw in WWE besides outsider Rocky and no match-up WWE can book month to month will pop a buyrate.

No one to blame but themselves.

The problem with the WWE is they have incredibly simplistic booking that makes very little sense.

Why are these arch rivals agreeing to team together?

Whyshould the heel tag team champs be used to put over the babyface hero in a handicapped squash, when you have a dozen jobbers to choose from to do the same thing?

Nobody does simple like Cornette. Go watch SMW tapes. You see every angle, every turn, every result from a mile away. But its all logical. Easy stroies like larry is talking about. Cornette is what the WWE needs, but he's a loon and can't get along with anyone.

TNA I guess you can say overbooks, but really its just Russo trying to fool everyone and be clever like its 1999. Again, the issue is it makes little sense because the characters lack proper motivation for their wacky actions. TNA is like two kids playing with wrestling figures in the backyard, topping each other with wacky angles.

Both groups run too many angles. Verne Gagne ran like one tv angle per year. But now these guys have boxed themselves into a corner. You have to have an angle every segment. Why do you think they run out of fresh ideas and recycle the same shit?
WWE is the only game and town, but they still run their programming like they are competing for ratings with WCW by the segment, so every segment means something.

What is missing is the lost art of the squash match...the jobber...the jobber tag team (it is why the tag team scene is non-existent).

When all you are using is your "superstars" to face one another, in what is supposed to be consistent programs and feuds, it leads to too much booking and shit gets repetitive.

I can virtually guarantee that if Punk took the entire summer off, while randomly showing up at indy shows and staying in the public eye viral, his return match as "real WWE champion" would have popped a buyrate, and he be a bigger star right now.

He was also the "great indy hope" during the peak of the indy explosion last decade, and he was the first one of that group to make it big in the WWE. And he did it against all odds with all of the major power brokers against him (Vince, HHH, Taker, Dunn, etc), and with the wrong allies (HEYMAN).

Don't even get me started on the Nexus deal...hottest angle in a long ass time when it kicked off last summer. Within weeks, they were simply jobbers. :turrible:
