Everyone has different tastes, but what about Danielson didn't you like?

To me, 05-06 he was absolutely incredible and the best in the world in the ring (and there were a number of greats in that span).

Part backlash from the nerds gushing over him all the time, part thinking he was kind of a boring guy. The same as Benoit, only not as intense. I wouldn't go as far as Nash, and call them vanilla midgets. But I do think in their focus to do the job at the most elite of elite levels, they both came up a little lacking in working the crowd and connecting with an audience. Which is funny to say now, being that's all he does for a living today. Very odd extremes for him, that I never thought he was capable of. When it came to ROH, I was more of a fan of Nigel, Aries, Shelley. Guys who weren't as good as Danielson in the ring, but had a unique charisma to them that made me look forward to seeing them for more than just suplexes and submissions.

        A good question...

Has there been anyone, like Danielson, to come through the WWE from being a top flight worker only to become a joke of sorts.

Terry Taylor comes to mind but I'm not recalling at 3am, a bunch of others who have gone 175 degrees on what they were about prior to going to the E.

I don't think Owen Hart quite qualifies as coming into WWE as a top flight worker, but he's probably the closest thing to Danielson in terms of wasted in-ring talent to be used as a joke for fans.

              Danielson is still glorious.

I don't think Bryan is a failure, not sure if it came off that way, because he's clearly found a niche and like Fed said, he's smart enough to have the self awareness to understand what that niche is.

People who think he's on ice until they have a top spot for him are mistaken. Vince has never, and will never, see him as a top guy or a serious performer. He sees him as a little nerd who doesn't eat meat who nerd fans like. So unless something tragic happens to Vince, Bryan will either remain the Eric Young of WWE, or at best be an underdog babyface who puts over main event heels.

Remember that one time when there was a major terrorist attack in Europe and on the next Smackdown, WWE had "terrorists" attack the Undertaker?

Didn't they already tape Smackdown before that happened and then just ran with it?

Muhammad Hassan was a great character.

John Cena will no doubt use this attack for a promo tonight.

Hassan indeed was a great character, apparently an asshole of a person tho.

I wonder if CM Punk will refer to the mic as a pipebomb tonight in his farewell promo
