UPDATE: UFC 151 Canceled, Jon Jones vs Vitor Belfort added to UFC 152

2pm est boys, mmajunkie.com is streaming it, This could be really bad, hopefully its not what I think it is.

Also there is a rumor on twitter that Hendo is hurt, so hopefully Dana just squashes these rumors.

I can't fully follow this now due to my soccer team playing, but I heard the whole card is off?

Edit: Nvm, see the other thread.

Hendersen is hurt, Sonnen wanted the fight but, Jones refused to fight him. No UFC 151. Jon Jones VS Lyoto Machida 2 added to UFC 152

        So, wouldn't 152 now be 151?

UFC trying to server two masters.

You are either in the TV business, or the PPV business.

UFC tries to be in the cable/network/PPV business.

UFC has the deepest roster in their history, yet can't piece together more than one or two shows that people care about. If you have read my rants the last three years, you'd have seen this day coming. Too many shows, watered down, & overexposed. We have gotten to the point that a key injury like Hendo can take down an entire show. Think about that.

If they didn't have a million shows & four masters (PPV, FOX, Fuel, FX) to serve, this would not happen. Now the Jones title defense is moved to Toronto, where they had a weak main event (flyweight championship). It's a good show now. Had they not had two shows booked in the first place, 151/152 would have been one good show to begin with instead of two weaker ones.

The FOX deal what it is, can't turn back. The solution is less PPV. Instead of 13 or 14 or whatever they do, cut it to 8. The shows will be better quality, and will do better numbers. You won't have Frankie Edgar or Mighty Mouse main eventing and doing 150,000 buys, so you can match your total buys for the year even with less shows. Improves depth, curtail oversaturation.

Dana is a delusional fool. No matter what he says, MMA is not baseball or basketball and it can NOT be on every day. Everything has a breaking point, and even those sports would not run daily if the nature of the sport did not insist upon it. He can blame Greg Jackson all he wants, but this day was coming, and blaming Jackson is like blaming The Avengers because your card sucked and nobody cared. It's deflecting the real issue.

EH, he should blame Jackson and Jones. MMA is pathetic, we need vale tudo and pride back man..., he refuses to fight a smaller guy and a guy who got wupped last time, Pussy shit man.

However, dana needs some blame. He needs to stack the cards up more.

When you make crap cards and sell them as awesome to the rubes, look what happens with an injury to the main event

I got an idea, how about stack the cards and give the fans there moneys worth?

As much as I would like to bash Jones, why would he fight the multi time middleweight loser? This is the best they can offer?

Blame the fighter and the coach? Throwing Chael out there on 8 days notice is bush league at best, at least offer a LHW

If they weren't running a thousand shows per year (most of which nobody gives a fuck about), they wouldn't be in a position where they are forced to offer a middleweight a light heavy title shot.

Last month they rushed Ebersole back in the cage on like two weeks notice, and he looked like shit and they killed a contender.

                            TOO. MANY. SHOWS.

                            NO. DEPTH.

Why not fight Sonnen? He would easily beat him, look at the guys Fedor fought!!, Come on man he wants Tito's record and that is an easy way to do it.
