Marion gets player of the week honors - On pace to become 5 time All-Star?

At age 31 Shawn Marion is putting up career highs in Points, Assists, and Steals. This past off-season Shawn Marion agreed to a 6 Year Deal with Charlotte and it's payed off well with Marion coming back to a high-tempo team much like the old Phoenix Suns and this time the fast-break team plays defense. Marion is averging 27.0 PPG to go along with 8.4 RPG and is on pace to become a 5 time all-star and maybe even possibly this seasons most improved player. Marion only averged 13.5 PPG, and 7.3 RPG between Miami and Toronto in 79 Games. Many thought the Matrix was on the decline and many thought Charlotte over-payed him. But Marion has proved everyone wrong and is putting up career numbers while starting at the Power Forward for Charlotte. It's been a great year so far for The Matrix.

Traded early in season 1 for desmond mason, joe smith, and kyle weaver in exchange for Sean May, Adam Morrison, And Sean Singletary. Got some expirings there. Traded Desmond Mason for Q-Rich for more shooting. Q didn't work out and was traded to the clippers in the off-season to clear cap room. Traded Gerald Wallace to Blazers for Troutlaw, Channing Frye and Ike Diogu. Got some young guns in Frye and Diogu and a superstar in the making with Outlaw. Moved Raja Bell and Boris Diaw to Atlanta for a draft pick and Speedy Claxton. Got an expiring after this season cleared cap room. Declined to resign Joe Smith and Raymond felton and Dermarr Johnson in the off-season. I think I traded for Tyronn Lue early on too I forget who I traded him for. Signed Mutumbo, Marion, Antoine Walker. Drafted Derozan and Curry. 82 Game season BTW.

Bobcats Waive over-weight Walker to sign Miles

The Charlotte Bobcats waived 32 Year Old Antoine Walker today due to being over-weight and not being able to run in practice. Walker's weight was 269 Pounds when Charlotte Trainers last checked and they have said he has been gaining more and more weight since signing with Charlotte. Walker was averging 2.2 PPG with Charlotte and did not play at all Last season. Miles on the other hand played in all 82 Games for the Memphis Grizzlies last season and The Bobcats have decided to give Miles a chance by signing him today. Tho Nicolas Batum has secured the role as Charlottes Backup Small Forward behind Travis Outlaw the Bobcats want to see what Miles can bring to the table.
