I am tired of hearing about how good the Jets are playing right now and how they have that "it" factor. It's bullshit.

They barely beat a depleted and soft Colts team by 1 point and a Patriots team that they figured out and outmatched at almost every single position. I know the Patriots were very good, but let's be real, they had rookies littered all over that roster and Wes Welker and Deion Branch aren't going to beat max coverage vs. corners like Revis and Cromartie. The jig was up for Belichick and the Patriots, they overachieved in a rebuilding year and everyone knows it.

The Jets had two perfect matchups against the Colts and Pats because those teams have soft defenses. Everyone knows the Jets strength is their run game and defense and that is why they beat those two teams.

The Steelers are a different story. Nobody runs on the Steelers and nobody plays defense like the Steelers. The Jets run is over. The Steelers will shut down the run and make a couple more big plays on offense/defense/special teams and win this game by 10 points.

I love all this talk about Mark Sanchez being a great clutch playoff QB because he has lead a few game winning drives against the Colts D or some other cupcake pansy ass defense like the Texans. I can't wait to watch the Steelers butt rape him this Sunday so I don't have to see Rex Ryan's fat face for another year.

This article is talking only about 6 guys, 5 of which rotate through 3 defensive line position. What's so laughable about your point is on the Jets D they have Sean Ellis 33, Sione Pouha 31, Trevor Pryce 35, and Kris Jenkins 31. Ellis and Pouha are starters.

Looking at Linebackers, Jets have Bryan Thomas 31, Jason Taylor 36, Bart Scott 30, and Calvin Pace 30. That's more 30 year olds at linebacker than the Steelers.

But what is going to win the game for us I think is our defense, which might be the best defense we've had since the 70's. Our OLD guys allowed only 62 rush yards per game all year with 48 sacks. That's going to be hard for the Jets to overcome.

The Jets might be on average, similar in age but a few key players are younger and have been through the playoffs, They are hungry along with older guys who havent had it. I am not predicting a Jets win. But I am saying this is the last year the Steelers can get this close to a Super Bowl with this whole unit, especially these veterans. After this year, they will have to retool more extensively than these past 6 years.

You said theres a small window where athleticism trumps experience in sports. It happens to all of them and this may be that game for the Steelers. I don't need a decoder ring to decipher what you said.

Big Ben 28, I doubt his age will be a factor in this game.
Mendenhall 23 and running strong.
Mike Wallace 23, 1,257 yds, 10 tds, 21.0 yd avg.
Miller 28, Solid vet in his prime with plenty of shelf life left.
WE, have a lot of work to do on our o-line but Rookie C Maurkice Puncy 21 is definitely a true relied upon starter.
Ziggy Hood 23 has been solid and should be a future starter for years to come.
LaMarr Woodley 26, 10 sacks badass.
Lawrence Timmons, 135 tackles, 3 sack badass.
Polamalu 29, considering safeties last well into their 30's, Troy has plenty of time left on him.
Ike Taylor 30, you can call him old if you like but don't question his athleticism, the dude can run.

This team has plenty of young fresh meat, mixed with a solid core of veterans who have years left. WE aren't any older than the Jets so stop acting like we're going to lose this game because WE're old. That's just silly.

You assume too much. For instance I know enough about player personnel to understand that coaches look for, draft, sign, and trade for players to fit their scheme. MY Steelers roster might change or cycle, but until we get rid of Dick LeBeau WE will always draft linebackers, we will always sack QB's, and we will always be tough against the run. Outside of Ward if he retires, though I doubt it, and a sketchy o-line our offense isn't going to change much over the next few years.
