The more I play this game the more I love it. Sure the AI can be retarded here and there, but it hasn't taken me out of the game yet. Tense situations all the time. I love having to be patient and plan all of my movements around an area. Having to really read up on details about groups, people and missions make it that much more immersive. It also seems like everything you do has an effect on others things. Like in the beginning I got to decide if I killed, arrested or extorted an arms dealer. Each choice has advantages and disadvantages for the mission. In this mission I just did, I killed all of this one terrorists elite guards and the effect is less resistance when I discover his location. I'm definitely into the story and the characters so far and I love how you can buy intel for missions that unlocks extra objectives or allows you to see other things during missions.

I find it funny that this game has a Metascore of 64 and user score of 66, b/c I always seem to hear great things about it no matter who I'm talking to. Obviously there is much to improve on, but how could you not enjoy the shit out of this game? I can't wait to dive deeper into the story.

Holy rats ass, that was an interesting twist there at the end of the first mission. I was really questioning my choice of how I handled Shaheed, but after the twist I'm glad I ended up doing it the way I did.

The character development and the story have me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire game so far.

I have run into some bad AI and a bug, but nothing that's killed the game for me.

How's the shooting? I thought I remember Dizzle saying it was all based on dice rolls and you could have a head shot lined up with a shotgun from two feet away and an enemy would just brush it off sometimes.

if someone is wearing body armor and head gear to prevent head shots from killing them, would it matter that a dice roll was used behind the scenes to determine a death?

But there was no head protection from what I remember. So yeah, it would make a difference if dice rolls determined whether or not I killed a guy in that situation, based on my accuracy skill rating or some shit. That would be very frustrating to me.

It depends on how you line up the shot. The shooting mechanic is a little odd, the longer you are aiming downsights the more accurate your shot will be. Which is why it's a lot more effective to be stealthy so you have time to aim your shots properly.

just saying in general....cause you had the same issue with ME being a dice roll even though you were fighting robots or bad guys where a headshot wouldnt automatically mean death.

the more i look at this game it seems like it would be cool as fuck, but then i see all the issues and it makes me not want to spend the money.

While it's a better experience to play it through hands-on, there's always YouTube for Let's Plays of the game.

You'll just be missing out on the discovery parts of the game (IMO, the best part; Especially when you figure out who may or may not be an unexpected ally down the road).

It's up to you though.

It's worth the play. The sometimes dumb AI, sub-par graphics and overall unpolishness of the game isn't enough to ruin the experience. The story has me hooked, the characters are great, the decision making is fantastic and all the details that you have to pay attention to that other games usually don't care about are all great.

Of course I'm not near being done with it, but so far it's a great game despite how unpolished it can be at times.
