I cant believe I missed getting brotherhood early Ive been plowing through it trying to finish it and it is surprisingly great

I fucking loved Brotherhood. Perhaps more than even AC2 (although it's been a while since I've played through AC2 -- I beat both twice though and both are fucking great).

I feel like the opinion of AC:B though isn't great, overall.

Brotherhood is much better than AC2. I think, to most people, Brotherhood is the best in the series thus far.

Really? I thought a lot of what I read on forums, etc...was kind of disparaging of Brotherhood. A lot of rankings I've seen were AC2, AC:B, AC:R, large drop, AC1.

If you look, across all versions of the game AC:B was received slightly better. They were received pretty similarly upon release though.

Honestly, am I the only one who can care less about the multiplayer for this game? I love this game for the single player and story, and while I appreciate them trying to do something online, it is clear from this game that it has taken away attention from making a great story. This franchise is all about the story in my mind, and adding bits and pieces of information into the multiplayer kind of sucks for those who don't want to play online. I guess I'll hit up the AC wiki to find that stuff out.

Not saying you guys can't have fun either. It just doesn't interest me, and I think I'm the only person who thinks that.

I liked the online in AC:B for about 10 minutes. It was interesting, but got old quick (like most multiplayer does for me). But I loved the story of AC:B personally.

Agreed that II > ACB > ACR.

You guys know how I feel about multiplayer for this game. One of the good things they did this time was put in a mode (Simple Deathmatch) which puts everyone on an even playing field. No abilities allowed. As a significant amount of the game is recognizing your pursuers, and learning how to be stealthy, it's very helpful.

Welcome to the world when multiplayer takes over. They focused quite a bit on multiplayer on this game and the single player was extremely short. I really did feel cheated on this, like it wasn't even a whole game and should have been priced at $40.

Multiplayer should almost be an additional add on. Sell me the single player for 40 bucks and if I want to play multi I'll pay the extra 20. I played the multiplayer a bit in brotherhood and just found it to be a massive waste of time.

Exactly. I understand the need for multiplayer. Some people enjoy it a whole lot. I like some games online. But AC built itself on a great story and to see them potentially leaving it short because of multiplayer isn't a smart move. I also hate it when single player things depend on multiplayer- they should be separate experiences.

Yeah, it was a bit disappointing, but I figured it would happen since they did more with online. What disappointed me the most was having only one faction mission for the thieves, etc, when they each had their own mini-chapters in Brotherhood.

At this point, I'll take more single player content and not have a game each year, even though I love this entire story and can't wait to play through it.

Pretty much how I feel. I've enjoyed all the games, but spreading them out a bit more wouldn't make me sad if the storylines get a bit longer. The story on ACB felt a bit short even and if this is even shorter yet...

I don't know if it is just me but after i finished the main story line there isn't many side missions except for the stupid book missions.

Maybe if this was a $30 or $40 game. But they are wanting my full $70 this (or well, my family member's) so its kinda hard not to feel like I'm getting ripped off when I get 100 hours of storyline play out of Skryim and just a few hours out of htis....

FYI, the last DLC cleared up the ending of Brotherhood. It's all about Subject 16.
