Was thinking boy, Nucky was sure betrayed to the full extent last episode with those close to him..

Margerrete - Couldn't keep her slit closed. However, perhaps Owen Slater is a former lover? Somehow they are connected right?

James Darmody - Like a son, nearly killed Nuck.

Owen Slater - Bodyguard, took down his babe, wasn't there to protect Nucky (his job.)

Eli - The brother who pushed for his brother's murder.
 
The Margaret in Brooklyn thing bored me to tears. Bored me to fucking tears. It was structurally set up like the Chalky jail mini-sode from a few weeks back, or Richard's adventure in the woods last week, where they give a character their own little side journey which almost works as a self-contained short film ... But this one was boring as fuck.

Oh and I am very disappointed in her behavior once she gets back to AC. Disappointed, indeed. :smh:
 
Some thoughts:

Assassination Attempt: Anybody think that whatever Jimmy said to Nucky was to warn him? Nucky was looking into that direction as Jimmy was walking away and was able to see the shooter. But also after the shot when the lady screams "hes alive" Jimmy winches.

Van Alden: He was seen trying to be paid off by Nucky. Later in the episode it shows him naming his daughter and picks the name "Abigail" As seen here Abigail from the bible is a woman of integrity, faith and honor. The very next scene he talks to the new lady in charge and tells her everything he knows about Nucky. He tells her about him being unfaithful in my opinion because it will be used in court against him for his judgement and honesty. IMO he is going to bait Nucky into believing he is on his side and then take him down in court.

I didn't mind the Brooklyn part, it was decent. A lot better than the storyline with her son and the priest. That was boring. By the time the final scene came I was hoping she would have sex with Sleator, not as if Nucky doesn't sleep around. Hopefully it makes things more interesting for her character, because she's been pretty dead all season.
 
another great episode.... i think Eli might end up going to jail... he has already pissed off Jimmy and he doesnt have nucky behind him anymore...
 
Is there a better show on TV? That was a rhetorical question. The answer is - no, there's not.

I'm really excited to see where the negro uprising goes. Anything to bring Chalky some more air time is cool with me.

A new era in Ireland is going to see Nucky get back on his feet. I'm just concerned this prosecutor bitch is going to bring the whole thing down, but I can see Van Alden screwing things up for her/the case.

Eli needs to die, he is becoming useless and the only way he can redeem himself is to risk his life for Nucky's.

The Jimmy/Lucky/Capone combination makes me nervous for Nucky/Rothstein/Torrio, but the parallels of each and the old school vs. new school aspect has really gotten me interested. With Nucky about to get back into the alcohol game and Manny escaping his murder attempt, shit is going to get real.

I hope Margeret gets Polio, too.
