i think that maybe the art change is gonna kill this game and it seems like maybe there is a little bit to much in it to be good. Like maybe they tried to hard so its gonna be shit...

I am still really excited for this game but I keep having memories of Auto Modellista, a PS2 racing game with a similar graphics style that I was incredibly excited for but ended up completely bombing and was horrible. I dunno why it reminds me of that...I hope it's good.

I feel the exact opposite. I was leaning towards not getting this game but after watching that video I definitely will. It looks very addicting with all of that loot/ammo collecting and leveling up.

it may just be that video. they looked kind of dull and drab in the video. Watching the jtv link jms posted, the graphics look better.

but all this guy is doing is running around shooting 4 legged creatures. It just looks repetitive and doesnt feel like there is much of an RPG aspect to the game. Cant wait for some impressions and reviews.

btw, regarding the release date. I got an email from 2k yesterday saying the release was the 20th

Forza 3/NFS/Dirt2 and MW2 and Uncharted and AC2.......thats about all the time i have.

Fallout 3 looked like shit. Just gonna throw that out lol. Even though that was the aim, just graphics wise, Fallout wasn't pretty in any way.

RPG's=grinding

Fighting tons of grunt enemies sucks, but Fallout was pretty much the same. Maybe not as many as Borderlands. But you couldn't travel(unless you fast traveled everywhere) without having to deal with it.

true...good points. I think this game would appeal to alot of people because it looks like it focuses more on the shooter aspects then RPG. So if they make a long SP mode that is fun to play with some RPG stuff there it will be a hit for a lot of people

FPS's are fun. If you like FPS's and the idea of RPG-like character and weapon customization, and quest running sound fun to you, then you will like this game. I'm pretty stoked to play it online.

They are the RPG aspects I actually enjoy. Mixing potions and casting spells is the shit that turns me off.

Couple those elements with a FPS and it looks like I could have a blast with this game.

but thats what fallout 3 was like. It looks alot like it in many ways. The enemies and the whole wasteland concept. But it looks like a cheap knock off version. I think this game is gonna get compared to that alot and when i think about how good or bad this will be, it just looks like a good game. Like a 7.5. Which isnt worth it when you have other great games on the way
