Played for about an hour or two on the single player. Got to level 10.
At it's heart, it's still an RPG. Talk to such and such NPC, run here, kill/collect this, turn in for quest reward and experience.
I hate the looting system. You have to manually target the item and press x to loot it. Just a bit of hassle but certainly not a game killer.
Loot/weapons/ammo are not in short supply for the most part. Basically the way the quests are designed, by the time you reach the end of the quest (location where you kill the last mob or loot the last item for said quest) there will be a chest with loot in it. Weapons/ammo mostly. So far I've picked up a bad ass shotgun, couple cool pistols etc etc.
You fight your first boss at lvl 4 in a "dungeon" called skag gully (iirc).
You basically port in, head to boss kill him get loot etc etc. After that I got more quests to head back to that same dungeon.
Uh, one thing that kinda turned me off was the fact that as I got to lvl 8-9 etc, there were still lvl 2-3 mobs in the "dungeon" that were there really for no other reason than to just be a nuinsance to me. They aren't worth the ammo to kill considering the low xp you get from killing them. you can melee them but still, a pain to have to stop, melee, and then continue on your way.
I like the game so far though but I'm sure multiplayer is where this game really shines. Otherwise, it's just another RPG imo.
Gotta pick up a headset tomorrow to be able to play with you guys.
Feel free to ask questions about the game if you guys want
