the phone call was pretty obvious from the start. right off the bat he said...no police...right there you knew he was trying to save her.

along with tht i always felt Hanks character was seen as a bitch at home. someone who is tough on the outside but soft on the inside. Look at the way he handles Marie? Funny how this trait probably leads to him calling her which is a huge deal.
