Honestly, I hadn't even considered that. Touche. Of course, I think Romo's played on teams with more talent on offense and defense, so perhaps we could work that into the equation. It's not like either of them has single-handedly carried a team to the playoffs. Or so I would think.

Romo has played in 2 in 3 seasons.. hes going at a better rate than Drew Brees, plays for better teams than Drew Brees, and is a bigger choke artist than Drew Brees.
Brees career playoff stats:
916 yards, 5 TDs, 2 INTs 1-2 Record
Romo:
390 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT 0-2 Record
So basically Brees averages well over 300 TDs a game, under one pick, and nearly 2 TDs a game. Romo averages under 200, throws for 1 TD a game.. and has one of the most embarrassing fumbles in NFL history.
I really see that Brees is blowing the game for his team by his numbers. I guess for some people QB is the only player on a football team.

But let's look at Brees/Warner for a minute. I can use Warner as an example, since 85% of this forum would choose Brees over Warner, as well.
Drew Brees had the 28th ranked rush offense in 2008.
Kurt Warner had the 32nd ranked rush offense in 2008.
Drew Brees had 23rd ranked defense in 2008.
Kurt Warner had the 19th ranked defense, which only gave up 8 fewer yards per game, and gave up over 30 more points total.
Kurt Warner lead one of the worst organizations in NFL history to the superbowl. Even a rookie quarterback in Matt Ryan was able to lead the 24th ranked defense, and arguably the worst team in the NFL going into the 2008 season, to a playoff spot.
My question to you is - If Tony Romo's head is on the chopping block after only 3 seasons, how much longer until you people put Brees' head there, as well?
But, let's give Drew Brees some credit - He did win the Fed Ex air player of the year award.

Drew Brees also has one of the worst records of any quarterback in NFL history when trailing after the 3rd quarter. This really is a no brainer - Tony Romo is the better quarterback. And since he is the better quarterback, I would most certainly take him if it came down to a clutch situation.
