We got them at my job today, obviously they were still in packaging but I can answer any basic questions you have.

people in NYC area may want to call their gamestops tomorrow. My buddy who lives in the brooklyn area picked up the game today. Some deal where certain gamestops have been given the ok to sell them. Another friend was told no....but another was told yes.

the whole reasoning behind why some are selling it and others are not makes no sense to me. DONT take this post and run with it like you gonna get it early tomorrow.....its a heads up in case you want to check

Just another quick lol on the ol leaffan PC front.

IW looks like they are going to get hit hard with copyright claims. If you notice the trailer featuring the AC130 has been taken down on infinity wards channel and they expect youtube to go through and start removing other players video's.

There was a mod made over a year ago by some PC modder that put the AC130 into the game almost the same way as its seen now. I guess these guys are so pissed that copyright claims are starting to go out over it. Things like the tactical nuke, 3rd person view, the predator ect ect. could be claimed since apparantly IW is using an almost exact replica of what these guys have already made.

Probably won't mean much but this could spell trouble if they actually persue it with lawyers and everything.

Correct but almost everything about it gameplay wise (hell even the crosshairs they used) were in the mod.

Looking over it now its almost hilarious how much they took from just the one mod. I think the main mod guy is doing it as a joke to the IW guys saying thanks for the memories.

You're probably right, but how could the modder even make a case for violation of copyright if he himself was using other people's work as a base for his own? I mean, he was using the code from their game and modifying it, right? I don't think he would have much of a leg to stand on if he really did try to proceed with any sort of lawsuit.

After reading your posts here about how pissed the PC community was about this whole no dedicated servers thing, I went and read a shitload of blogs and posts about it myself. I read that not only were they upset about no dedicated servers, but also that they couldn't kick/block other players, have to now play with a 9v9 match setup, can't tweak the game settings, and can no longer lean their players to peak around corners. It sounds more like the PC community has been taking for granted something that was never meant to be used in the first place. They are mad that they have to play the same game the console gamers have had to play.

It was actually quite funny to read comments from console guys bashing the PC guys and vice versa. I had a good laugh reading most of the stuff I read especially the parts about the PC guys saying "keep it up console twat, if/when the PC gaming community dies out...the hackers will be coming for your consoles next". We all know that its fairly simple to hack an Xbox 360 simply from the number of people who have modded 360s on this site alone. But what about the PS3's chances of being successfully hacked? I've never seen much information on people who have done it successfully. Have you heard anything about anyone having success hacking the PS3? Serious question and I'd like to know if so.

according to the latest rumors. The servers are only being reset for people with modded systems. People who have a legit system and game will not be reset.

I must say that having to level up and unlock everything is incredibly tough this time around. There is so much to unlock and you have to do it a certain way.

for example, if I want to use a thermal scope I have to kill X # of people with the acog scope. To unlock the Acog I need X # of kills with the red dot scope. To unlock the red dot....u get the idea.

it’s not a matter of having the scope attached either, u actually have to be looking thru the scope for it to count towards the reward.

random thoughts on weapons attachments and perks

TAR21 FTW!!....its red dot scope....FTL most red dot scopes look the same. Pretty much what weve seen in the past. This guns red dot is this little annoying circle with a red dot. It looks like the lense for this scope is all scuffed and dirty. I wonder how many other weapons have a different looking scope.

I am still trying to find out what the difference is between the holographic scope and the red dot. They are both a square shaped scope with a dot in the middle. Both see to allow you to see the same distance so I am not sure what the point of the holographic is.

heartbeat sensor is nice. This is the little side attachment on your gun where it shows you the red dots of the enemies. it wont perfectly tell you where the enemies are, but it has saved my ass many times. It’s great to use on the Sub Base map because its borderline blizzard conditions.

Care package kill streak. I think most have seen this. It’s by far the most entertaining kill streak reward. You get 4 kills to get the reward, then you hit the dpad to use it. Now you have a can that you throw into an area and it releases red smoke. U wait a few seconds and a crate drops from a plane. In the crate you have a random item. And these can range from ammo to a ac130. One guy claimed he got the nuke in there, but who knows. I have got airstrikes, helicopters, the harrier which is the hovering air plane (BMF btw), sentry guns, UAV, counter UAV….my friend got the ac 130 last night so I know for sure u can get that.
What is so entertaining about the care package is that I keep seeing retards get killed by them. They stand too close to the red smoke and the drop lands right on their head. Then I pick it up….Also, dont throw the can inside a building. The package will get stuck on the roof....this can be good on non HC because the enemies can also see it and if you camp the area you can get some easy kills

FYI sentry guns work in the same manor, you get a can of red smoke, then after it drops you pick it up and plant it where it can do damage. There are pluses and minus to this kill streak. The plus being u set it up in a great spot and it kills a ton of people. And it won’t go away until the enemy kills it. The bad is that it’s not that hard to take out. If you have the UAV scrambler perk then you can sneak up on it and knife it to bust it, or you can also throw a flash and stun it to give u time to shoot it. It’s a great perk though

There is huge list of kill streaks. Nobody seems to know how to unlock them. I have earned the right to unlock 1 additional KS so far and I don’t know what I did to earn it. By default u get UAV at 3, care package at 4, and predator at 5…..

the predator isn’t that great imo. It’s fun and all, but unless u have a cluster of people in an area then your only getting 1 kill. And on Non hardcore they are easy to get away from cause the game announces that one is inbound. On hardcore though you have no idea its coming until your dead.
The heli’s and harrier are getting real easy to take down. They are extremely powerful when in the air, but IW balanced this by making them easy to bring down. I have unlocked the stopping power pro perk which gives u more damage against vehicles. So with my RPD I can shoot them down rather quickly. Rocket launchers are 1 shot kill on those things.

Idk how I unlocked the stopping power pro perk…everyone has stopping power when they start the game, but SP Pro is earned. There are a bunch that I know of that have upgrades to unlock, but we don’t know what they do or how to unlock them. Like there is also a bling pro perk. Bling allows u to use 2 attachments on your gun, which is pretty sweet does bling pro allow 3….lol

I said he put his claim out to youtube video's mainly to piss of IW. Like I said the possibility of any sort of legal action is rather small since the guy that did it ment it more as a joke.
