how do you top arguably the best shooter ever made, possibly one of the greatest games ever made? its pretty simply actually....you make MW2
how often does a sequal ever out do the original.....this isnt like COD5 that is a copy cat of MW1. While it is the same game, they took every thing and improved it. Dramatically improved it

Graphics, sharpness, smoothness, AI, intensity, soundtrack, fun, weapons, online, spec ops....and so on.....

chodite said it best about online. Maps are pretty sick and have incredible variance. It plays a tad fast, and looks so much better. everything is so crisp and sharp. And there is so much more going on then before. All the kill streak bonuses, the helis and airplanes that hover, the scud missile thing....all that shit can happen at the same time and the game doesnt miss a beat. The action is amazing.

Spec Ops is an incredible mode. Again they took zombie mode and scrapped it for this. there are 25 or 30 missions that start off as simple and you unlock the hard ones. There is a huge variety in these missions and they made it worth playing over and over

SP mode....no spoilers here....but from the moment you start playing it you will notice some incredible shock value

it would be hard to top MW1....but unless this game has some deep seeded bugs that start to appear then it should be rated nothing less then a perfect 10

Does it play fast, or faster? I hope you just mean its fast paced, and not faster than 4. I thought 4 could have been slowed down a little.

Imagine playing madden with the agility of Jamal lewis and you upgrade to barry sanders...now thats an extreme example, but my point is that your player seems more agile. Of course this varies with the class your using.
i think the feeling of responsiveness may be why it feels faster

okay, I get what you mean. But I think I need to feel it myself to truly understand.

i think they also made a bigger contrast between movement depending on what guns you carry.

online is similar to cod5 where you have to be a certain rank before you can play certain modes. 19 for hardcore whch meant i was stuck in non HC mode.

one other thing they changed about online is party chat. Some mode dont allow you to play in a chat. I dont care for this, but i understand why they did it. Things like search and destroy were unfair if a group was in a party cause if you were dead u could still speak to you alive teammates. This change is about balancing the game.

one great change is to the headquarters mode. remember how the HQ would spawn and the team who held the previous HQ spawn point would be able to run to the next HQ and be able to take it with no problem? that was very unfair to other team. So they added a HQ online/offline function.

So now the team with the advantage can go to the next HQ, but they cant take it until the HQ goes online which gives the other team a chance to get into the fight. Both teams will always deal with the on/off line function. Its does it in 20 second intervals to create balance to the mode.

i love the care package drops that you get with the 4 kill streak. These will drop various items that either team can snag. I only grabbed one and it was the predator missile. basically u get the 4 kills, call for the package and you throw a can of smoke where you want it to drop. The box is droped from an flyby plane. you then pick it up by holding X (like your planting the bomb on S&D) and get the item dropped. Then if you want to use it, you press the D PAD (for the missle) and open the case and immediately see a map of the area and see where the enemies are and the missile starts diving towards the ground. You control where its gonna land and blow people up. Good Times!

spec ops was a real blast. I love the AC 130 mission. the vids were already posted so this shouldnt be a spolier.....but i am using the tag just in case

 

this mission allows the host to choose 1 player to use the AC 130 and the other to be on the ground. the person in the 130 has to escort the ground unit to the checkpoint. The map is a maze type setup so you can really screw up on the ground until you know where your going. This map uses portions of the pipline map in the beginning and downfall map in the ending from COD4...which i enjoyed seeing used. The 130 is so much fun to use, but in COD 4 there was no risk at all and it was easy to beat in SP.
Spec ops made a risk/reward scenerio because you protect your teammate on the ground. fun fun fun!!

I saw a video earlier of a guy getting killed by the care package. One guy dropped a smoke grenade and another guy stood on top of it and got smashed when the package dropped. Pretty funny to see.
