Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 thread

This game no longer even resembles a military FPS anymore. Part of the draw for COD 4 was a semblance of reality. Sure, its an arcadey game and not realisitic, but it had a basis of a military shooter.

Now....akimbo weapons (really?) and super speed knifing dominate. The only thing military about the game are the settings and outfits, you could easily put the same gameplay in a futuristic universe and make the characters aliens....nobody could tell the difference.

And what's with all the killstreak rewards? The game is basically a race to 4 kills. 4 kills=predator. Pick up an easy double kill, get a harrier. From the harrier get the AC-130/chopper gunner. You just went from 4 kills to 20 kills....sitting in a corner. How is that an FPS?

I feel the sameway. The only complaint I have is the damn painkiller. ITs amazing juggernaut is barely in the game yet it still pisses me off so much.

same, its sooooo overpowered. you can shoot someone, see the icon pop up, they realize and turn around and kill you. its like....what!?

Modern Warfare 2 is pretty much a sequel to CoD4, as Halo 3 was to Halo 2.

There were many people who thought Halo 3 was a disappointment, or it "sucked" compared to Halo 2. I hear pretty much the same things with Modern Warfare.

There are a large number of complaints I have about the game. As I do with just about every game I play.

The number of hacks/hackers going around is getting out of hand. IW needs to get it under control. I hadn't seen a single one until yesterday. Now I've seen the speed glitch, the slide/no control glitch, 10th prestige guys with colored gamertags (with the most stupid/racist of names I have seen). A game becomes unplayable when you get stuck with these hacks. You have to completely quit the game(go to the dashboard) and reboot just to clear your system of it.

yeah i've unloaded full clips on dudes with painkiller and then get killed while i'm trying to reload my gun.

i've also unloaded two shotgun shells into a dude with painkiller on and then ran like hell cuz i knew i was in over my head.

i still play, just not as fun as it was before everyone started to abuse the gimmicks.

i have found that the game is much more enjoyable when you can play with a room full of realistic styles and people that communicate, strategize, and attack. thats why i pretty much only play hardcore team deathmatch.

everyone wants to run around stabbing people, it's not even a military game anymore, it's left for dead 3.

i own fools with the akimbo 1887's. i love highrise and the tunnels. I just roam back and forth in those tunnels shooting fools. I love when they hide above the tunnels hoping to kill me. There are very few vulnerable spots for me and the akimbo 1887's in those tunnels

i also love using noob tubes. They are just fun to use. all i need is the riot shield added to my game then it would be money

the last 3 missions of spec ops on vet are so much fun. Trying to kill those jaugs is so hard.

me too yo but i usually just like to mob around the entire map cleanin up fools with my gutta knife this one time this dude was 15 feet away from me and shooting at me but just missing cuz i was dodgin his bullets and then i launched myself at him from 7 feet away and stabbed him in the shoulder and he died instantly. i cap these fools with my gutta knife they cant c me.

I was in a HC S&D room where a guy was using one man army pro and a tactical insertion to make the tactical insertion into a machine gun and noob tube with unlimited ammo.

the 2 guys on my team using this were getting owned because the player movement is very slow. But i was able to watch them use this glitch and see how they did it.
