unless the NCAA clears the nine UNC players under investigation by saturday, they will be held out of the LSU game, and of course, its all their stud players...

also, Boise is something like 6-7 against BCS teams since 2002, and this is basically a home game for VT, so they should win easily... however, i freaking hope VT loses... :lesmug:

There's actually 12 players under investigation now and there is a separate investigation being done by the school too, which has to do with tutors writing papers for athletes. There's almost no way that they'll have the investigation clear by game time and if they play the team could risk forfeiting the game later anyway.

So it looks like UNC will be lacking all of their studs, unfortunately. Gonna diminish things a bit when we drop the hammer on them. I'll still make sure to enjoy it though.

I'll just put down all that I know about the UNC situation:

 

Ran into one of my former soccer teammates at my HS's game Friday night, he's a walk-on kicker at UNC (He's transferring to Western Carolina next semester though because they gave him a full ride), and he was actually in the study hall where the tutors were writing papers for the athletes. Said it was pretty much the entire 2 deep on defense, and around 30 players total (He said he got some "help" from them too).

Shits about to hit the fan hard... Butch has a clause in his contract where he can be fired for a major NCAA violation he knows about or should've known about (As most coaches do)... well word is that clause is going to be exercised if the NCAA investigation finds proof of anything.

Texted one of my friends who plays WR for them, asking how bad it was. He said, and I quote: "nigga we're fucked.... completely buttfucked"

That's basically the feel I got from a UNC poster who migrated over to TigerForums to break us the news. Most LSU fans were just as upset about it as they were, we just want to see a good game with both teams at full strength.

Heels fans are pretty pissed considering Butch Davis went from cleaning up Miami's academic/disciplinary reputation to being on the verge of destroying UNC's.

Sounds like shit if they're like the black bball unis. I hate those. I really hate when non-black teams add black. Especially when navy blue is such a similar color and clashes on the black.

But as long as the Mounties don't wear those shits vs. us I don't care. Still pissed I have to see these hideous Carolina ones up close.
