I found some tix to the game this weekend Nahste. BUT I am not driving to Atlanta so I declined the tix.

Oh man we could've tailgated at the Dome. But yeah tickets are pretty easy to come by for this one it seems like.

My parents found me one no problem and I didn't decide to go until 2 weeks ago. Probably a combo of LSU fans being over the Atlanta drive, UNC not being at full strength and a few question marks about LSU going into the season.

I'm so excited for this game though. Can't wait to see our new look offense. Apparently Billy Gonzales has JJ and the receivers lookin' right.

LOL like USF was really a deserving #2. That was the most retarded college fotball season in recent memory, please don't be fooled into thinking Rutgers or USF were good that year.

i loved the 2007 college football season with all the upsets and everything. and considering that they were undefeated and most other teams had already been upset, USF had to be #2.

also, Rutgers was a pretty solid team that year, they just didnt do well with the pressure of actually being a good team. if you take out some of the losses to Louisville and Maryland that shouldnt have happened, they would have had a very good season. then again, i guess you can say that for every team.

Alabama running back Mark Ingram suffered a knee injury late in Monday's practice, coach Nick Saban announced in a statement Tuesday, and has been ruled out for Saturday night's season opener against San Jose State.

Ingram, who last year became the first Crimson Tide player to win the Heisman Trophy, had "an arthroscopic procedure" done Tuesday morning, according to the statement.

"It was a situation where everyone involved thought it would be better to take care of now, so he would not have any issues with it later in the season," Saban said.

With Ingram sidelined, No. 1 Alabama will rely heavily on sophomore Trent Richardson, who ran 145 times for 751 yards with eight touchdowns in 2009.

Saban said Ingram's status would be day to day after this weekend. The Crimson Tide play No. 19 Penn State at home on Sept. 11.

"This is not an injury that will affect Mark's future ability to make a full recovery in a relatively short time frame," Saban said.

Richardson could damn well win the Heisman if given enough carries. He wouldn't get the votes probably, but I wouldn't be shocked if he posted better stats than Ingram in full time duty.

Trent is a fucking animal. As much as I love watching Ingram run, Trent Richardson is on a whole other level. Ingram being down for Penn State might seem like good news, but it's really not. I mean, obviously it's better than trying to stop them both, but either way Penn State will have their hands full.

The way I see it Richardson is the more physically talented back, but Ingram has better vision and just a better overall feel for the running game. Plus, he's got great balance and runs so damn hard.

Penn State just doesn't have the horses defensively to stop that offense. They should be able to get a good pass rush from time to time with their ends, and Tom Bradley will dial up a great gameplan as always, but I just don't see them being able to stop Alabama.

Flipping it around a bit though, if Penn State can get a passing game going it could be deadly for the Tide... their secondary has been getting absolutely torched all through fall camp and they have not looked good at all.

Yeah, did you see those scrimmage stats McElroy posted? It was something retarded like 35-45 for 550 yards and 6 TDs....Bama should be tough to run on but unless they can dial up great some blitz packages (probable) they will get exposed through the air. It's gonna take a perfect defensive gameplan every week though. Saban is more up to the task than nearly any other coach, but it's still a tough task. Especially with the target on Bama's back and the fact that 6 of their opponents will be coming off a bye when they face the Tide this year.

I was actually more worried about Richardson than Ingram, but at least we probably won't have to worry about both.

If we keep it within 14-17, I'll be satisfied. If Robert Bolden does actually start for us, I'll be interested to see what he can do against that shaky Bama secondary, cause he's got weapons to throw to in Zug, Moye and Powell.
