Dez Bryant is the only better WR of that group. Benn is a Heyward Bey type speedster, but with better hands. Briscoe is really solid too. Theres also AJ Green from Georgia but he may be a 3rd round pick depending on QB play.

I think it could work... I mean... lets look and see. Crabtree can go play CFL or UFL then enter the draft, he will continue playing that way, putting up a highlight reel. THEN the year could be uncapped. On top of that, he will be able to actually participate in the combine, which could make his stock even higher. It really could work.

I don't see it happening. A deal will get done....this is just Crabtree trying to put pressure on the 49ers. Its never a good idea to sit out a season due to contract issues, because it gives the impression that you'll be a hard guy to sign and being away from football related activity is never a good thing. I laugh at the idea of him going to the CFL or UFL, because he'd be risking not only injury, but potentially not peforming at a top level, which would hurt his stock. Crabtree was the 10th pick and will be payed like one...just like every other 10th pick has been payed. The sooner he realizes this the sooner he gets on the field.

This is just some of my little ND homer moments but i think that if Michael Floyd of Notre Dame keeps up his play for the next couple of years he can definately give Julio a run at top WR.

The stats for Floyd-48receptions 719yards 7TDs *while missing 3 games
Julio 58receptions 924yards 4TDs

and Floyd will have better QB's i believe and a will have to face a weaker schedule.

I know Julio is an athletic beast but Floyd is 6'3 runs a 4.5 forty.

Anyway just trying to show some ND love.

Crabtree will not sit out an entire season over a contract dispute. It would be career suicide. Not only would teams be wary of drafting him next year, but, he runs the risk of not being drafted higher than he was this year. I can almost promise you that if he sits out an entire season, he will not go in the top 10 next year.

Apparently it's been rumored that Eugene Parker is also trying to get Tyson Jackson more money than what Matt Ryan got last year.
