Just admit that you dont know shit about Freeman. Watch a few games this season and make a fair and accurate assessment then. Me saying he, at the very least, is on par with Stafford and Sanchez isnt a homer statement, its the truth. All 3 QBs had times where they were money and times where they looked like shit. If you ask me Sanchez is the worst of the 3.

It is certainly funny that we expected dave to have some "NFL credibility". lol. The list is iffy, the back-up opinions in the thread are garbage. And it's no secret that Freeman's not immobile. Did you even see him at KSU? He had 404 rushing yards and fourteen touchdowns his senior season. The two years prior he had negative yardage resulting mainly from sacks and lack of scrambling/designed QB runs.

Sanchez pleasantly surprised me. I thought he was gonna be garbage, even though I really loved him at SC. He's still not some amazing QB, but it remains to be seen what he'll do. He had one average year... Above-average for a rookie, with a pretty good AFCCG. He's not heads and shoulders above Stafford, Freeman, or even Bradford, from what I've seen. All the young guys have shown sparks of greatness; surprisingly enough, none of them have looked like surefire busts, yet.

It's just kind of crazy how this list is assembled. The top ten is hard to do because of how close some of those guys are. After that, the next five/six guys are the tier right outside of the top ten. The last sixteen are the bottom half of the starting NFL QBs, just assembled in random order with no real factual basis for why any of them are anywhere.

I honestly don't like ranking guys 1-10, there are tiers. I feel Rodgers made the jump from Tier 2 to Tier 1. Brady is basically about to drop from Tier 1 to Tier 2 pretty soon. In a similar situation, I think Joe Flacco could jump into Tier 2 after this season.

Even his NBA writing is often so long winded that you end up skimming. He did a trading deadline piece this past year, where he played GM for every single team , and dedicated like 3 paragraphs for each one. Unreadable drivel like:

If I was running Milwaukee, i'd think about packaging Bogut with a bad contract and two young cheap bench players, and offer them to New Jersey for Yi, Bobby Simmons, two 2nd round picks and Kenyon Dooling. I know, I know, the Bucks traded Yi & Simmons to begin with, but hear me out. I've been in skim mode for Simmons since finishing his book. Maybe I just finally got my fill. I think it's more that he's more interested in writing about himself than writing about sports now.

He's the sports writing equivalent of Entourage, he abused his formula until it became obvious how formulaic it was.
