CrismonGhost and I were wrecking shit up this afternoon in Diablo.....Witchdoctor and Barb!. He had like 15 minions running all over the place killing shit and I was just smashing everything. Good times!

i got my best loot drop (some killer boots) after killing that guy with you . i coulda used you for the boss fight right afterwards (Belial). died about ten times until i retreated to the auction house and bought a new mojo to up my vitality. i did about half of act 3 with some random chinese guy... i dont think he spoke english

Blizzard Issues Big Diablo III Patch
The 1.0.3 patch makes changes across the entire game, including many alterations to Inferno difficulty.

Blizzard is has patched Diablo III to version 1.0.3, which makes adjustments that should affect all users in noticeable ways, but seems mostly designed for high level players.

If you’re creating a new character, leveling up your Jeweler and Blacksmith artisans will be far cheaper after 1.0.3, as Blizzard has dramatically reduced the gold cost for ranking up artisan levels, as well as reduced the crafting costs for everything from levels 1 to 59. A number of class changes have also been implemented, including giving Monks the ability to use spears and two-handed swords and maces along with multiple skill rune adjustments.

So while lower level players will have more gold available because less will be spent at the Jeweler and Blacksmith, higher level players will find more significant changes. Blizzard has adjusted item drop rates so the most powerful items in the game, item level 63, have a chance of dropping in Act I of Inferno setting. This is significant because it reduces the need to go to the Auction House to buy more powerful items in order to progress through the most challenging setting of Diablo III.

Alongside the adjusted item drop rates, Blizzard has lowered the damage output of monsters in Act II, III and IV, so it should be easier to progress through Inferno without having to substantially gear up before starting a new Act. If you have bonuses to attack speed on your gear, however, progress might not be as easy, because Blizzard reduced the AS values on weapons and armor by 50 percent.

It seems Blizzard also wants to encourage players in Inferno to continue killing champion and rare packs of monsters after building a five-stack of Nephalem Valor, as they’ll drop an additional guaranteed rare item. One stack of Nephalem Valor is awarded after reaching level 60 for every pack of rare monsters killed, and stacks up to five times, boosting magic and gold find percentages. It lasts for 30 minutes and refreshes with every additional champion or rare kill, and will stay active as long as you don’t switch your skill build, rewarding you for continuing to sweep dungeons and take on challenging foes. In order to keep you more focused on fighting monsters, magic find bonuses won’t apply when smashing open vases and barrels and overturning corpses.

Bosses should also be more challenging after the patch, as Blizzard has listed enrage timers for bosses like Belial and Zoltan Kulle, as well as modified existing behavior, such as Izual’s frozen bombs and giving Siegebreaker a reflect damage affix on Inferno.

Had I known it would be so much cheaper to upgrade gems (and the jeweler for that matter), I would have horded them prior to the patch.

The auction house nerfs the whole crafting section of the game. I just buy the item I need via auction and done with it.

Untrue the only thing they did is make it register one hit on a monster but it still pierces through a bunch of monsters. Screaming Skull is better than the Electric Ball.

Hit 60 right before I got to Azmodan on Hell. Put the works on that bum and then went to the AH cuz I knew that the level 60 gear is a ton of a difference better than anything lower.

so what should i be farming? after the new patch, my DH has only 26k damage and i don't even want to see what happened to my WD's stats

i seem to fall in love with every new character i make

-WD was fun as my first but it seems like it takes the most skill out of all the classes ... i'm using a trackpad so my skill seems to have a low ceiling
-DH was so easy until the Butcher. i think i still need at least 1 other player in the game to kill the butcher
-Barb is Diablo 3. no kiting, just run up and hit the shhhtuff out of some demons. only lvl 55 right now but i cant wait to see what inferno is like. i need to start looking for LoH and resist items though to prepare ... and maybe some crit and ias but im not that rich so maybe save that for act 2/3/4

excited to make a Monk as well since everyone always talks about how beastly they are. the Wiz might be a fun ranged class since it can throw out all those clones to distract mobs. seems like kiting is easiest for that class ... just might not be as fun as kiting with vault

I am playing a wizard, up to level 28.
Also have a hardcore WD i just finished act 1 with.

I spent the first few days rotating out amongst a bunch of different characters but im settling on the wizard due to the flexibility. has good defense, mobility, punishing AOE and their mechanic, arcane power, is really nice and totally pain free - especially when compared to a traditional mana pool. the WD's intelligence buff is pretty righteous though and makes for some powerful spellcast.

I'm about 25,000 XP from hitting level 60 so that should probably happen tonight and I have a question for you guys..

How do I get the green items other than from the AH? Are they crafted in inferno or something because my blacksmith is maxed out on Hell and I haven't seen the option to build them.

Also when do you start to get legendary drops because I've got like 80 hours of gameplay or something like that without having seen one.
