LOL at all the people who tried to go at me last week, when I stuck by my "Tebow is a shit QB" opinion even after he played well. Guess what? Dude's still a shit QB.

How, with today's rules is it even possible to be 3-12 28 yards midway through the third quarter? I know I know, his completion % doesn't matter because he's so unique...until they play a team that can score and it's on him to move the ball through the air.

I find it funny people want to blame the D, the coaches, the wrs for dropping passes to try and take attention away from Tebow. (And yes they were shit tonight) One of my main complaints when the Broncos were winning was that they weren't getting enough credit. Now you guys want to talk about the defense, and the rest of the team? Strange how that works. Give him undue credit for wins, and exempt him from any blame after losses. Yeah let's blame the coaches that successfully made the playoffs with a HB at QB. And the D that held over half of their opponents to under 20 points with Tebow at QB during the reg season.

Gonna be fun watching Denver trick themselves into believing dude is a long term solution.

Tebow is clearly on the clock in Denver ... but say what you will, without Tebow, that team doesn't make the playoffs this year and, be honest, you watched tonight's game because of the Tebowmania.

Right or wrong, Tebow made the NFL's flag football more interesting this year.

He made people wanna watch New England vs. Denver, when they're Eagles' (or whatever other team) fans.

No one wanted to watch the Colts this year until they almost fucked up getting the #1 overall pick.

No, how about because I like football and it's one of the last 7 games I'll get to see until next september. Or because...it's a playoff game. Same reasons I watched Cincy-Houston last week even though that's about as boring as it gets.

The Broncos didn't lose tonight because of Tebow, they lost because their D simply couldn't stop Brady and those damn tight ends.
That said, tonight likely proved what a lot of people believe - Tim Tebow is simply not the long-term answer for the Denver Broncos ... and this is coming from a Tebow supporter/fan.
When your coach is calling run plays on 2nd and long down 21 points or so in the 3rd quarter, it's clear Tebow isn't their guy.
And, frankly, his inaccuracy, inability to find his check-down, his indecisiveness once his first read is out and his Fred Flintstone release are just too much to overcome in the flag football passing league that the NFL has become.

Matthew Fucking Stafford passed for 5,000 yards this season. The NFL is not a read option offence league.

I love Tebow. I think he's a terrific human being, absolutely not a phony, but the read option and his weaknesses got exposed beyond belief today.

All that said, I like the idea of giving him a complete off-season and at least trying to make this work.

Will it? I'm not sure. But anyone who is 100% Tebow-committed at this point is insane.

Don't discredit Stafford's season. He isn't some run of the mill QB. Yes he's got Calvin, but if you watch Lions games, you'll see him put the ball in places that seem miraculous.

His numbers are inflated because of the passing boom, but he's a good QB and in a few years could be an elite QB. You also may want to keep in mind that this was his first full season as a starting QB, so it was pretty impressive.

I don't mean to discredit Stafford, he had a great season and deserves his props. But, let's be honest, his numbers this year are unreal and historical. Stafford isn't there yet. He's a damn good young QB, but not Dan Marino yet.

But here's the thing, the defense didn't "just so happened to get better" when Tebow took over, it got better because Tebow took over.

The rushing attempts went up, the first downs went up, the time of possession went up, and the turnovers went down. The improved defense was largely a mirage. It was the same defense. They weren't constantly on the field anymore, and were no longer put behind the 8-ball all of the time by Orton's turnovers.

It was not a coincidence that the defense improved under Tebow, it was a direct result of Tebow and the new offensive system.

I think this is a really good point that is kind of over looked today. Its going to be key as the NFL becomes more passing orientated. While Tebow definitely upped his performance when the game was on the line, it was how the Broncos kept it close that was important. They knew they couldn't match teams blow for blow, so they played smart. They kept the clock running on offense and their defense rested.

I wouldn't be surprised to see another team, not necessarily Denver, do this next year and make the playoffs.

Well, now we see what Tebow is really made of.

The Broncos put together a quirky little offense tailor made for Tebow to get the best out of him and they went on a nice little run. No different than the 08 Dolphins with the wildcat or the 07 Jaguars with a flawless David Garrard (complete with victory over the Steelers in the playoffs). The Broncos were successful despite a lot of flaws in Tebow's game.

Now is when real life hits. If Tebow's gon b gud, and not just entertaining, but GOOD, we'll know about it real quick.

We'll know if Elway and Fox actually believe in Tebow really quickly this off-season, as well.

This season was fun, but now we'll see if what we saw was real life.
