Thank you. Have we now established we are discussing an opinion based issue? Doesn't that make one sides opinion/belief no more right or wrong than the other side? Shouldn't that mean we shift from attacking belief to what the real issue is "attacking oppression"? In the process of attacking oppression, if we can also respectfully change ones belief, isn't that a plus. I think establishing that oppression is wrong is an easy thing to do. We should be working from there.

I thought we established that NAMBLA promoted criminal activity. A belief in criminal is wrong, a belief in oppression is wrong. A belief that homosexuality is a sin may or may not be wrong. I thought we already established this could not be proven either way and therefor becomes an opinion based issue.

What effect does an employers view have on whether an issue is opinion based or not? If you can factually prove a belief or opinion it becomes provable/fact, if you can't, it stays opinion no-matter how an employer feels about it or what an employer says. You should look up opinion and belief in the dictionary.

No. The religious person says that homosexuality is a sin. I'm not seeing how there could be 'multiple sides' to this religious person's belief...homosexuality is either a sin or its not a sin. I'm also not seeing how that belief could be "right". Its completely illogical. I would think that in matters of opinion, something that is not based in logic could indeed be "more wrong" than something based in logic.

You are hitting a slippery slope with the religious context. Many churches now welcome gay couples due to the dwindling numbers attending church and outside pressures from gay rights groups. Allowing it is the same as saying its OK.

If Don Jones went to HR at an office and told them that Michael Sam making out with his twink boyfriend in front of him during the hiring process made him uncomfortable...they'd probably tell Michael Sam to stop making out with his twink boyfriend in a work environment, never mind having what I would assume, to be several "complaints" that would surely arise from a work setting of the same nature.

It goes both ways.

ESPN and NFLN showed the scene with Michael Sam knowing it'd get a reaction...they got one...then hit someone in the wrist with a ruler when he didn't give the desired reaction.

Belief is wrong when it's proven to be wrong. So go ahead and prove that "god says homosexuality is a sin" is wrong. Belief may or may not be right. It becomes right or wrong after it's proven to be right or wrong, then it becomes fact and not opinion/belief.
