and Zack, it worked both ways. Overall a terribly officiated game on both ends, unbelievably inconsistent.

Salmons played badly offensively. it was not the best the Bulls could play Thomas can play better as well too.

Yes, the Celtics would have won if most of their team didn't have too good of a game but it isn't like the Bulls played great. Tyrus Thomas and Derrick Rose did well but John Salmons and Brad Miller didn't do too well.

Honestly most of the series games will play out like this and be very close. I'd much rather see a young Bulls team win this series.

But Rose played out of his mind, Gordon played amazing in the 4th, Thomas dropped 16, including 6 of Chicago's 8 in the OT and the eventual game winner from like 19 feet, and Noah played like he was Ben Wallace ala 2004.

They maybe could have played a tiny bit better, but that was literally the worst showing you'll see the Celtics have this postseason, and they were still one free throw away from victory. THAT'S why I have confidence leaving that game. It's not that hard of a concept to grasp.

So Gordon could play well the entire game, Salmons could play well in general, Thomas could play better and so could Miller. The Bulls did not play "the best they could have" so your entire idea is laughable.

Noah has been playing good ball for 2 months so it's not really surprising. And I hate Noah.

It's not like Ray Allen playing like shit in the postseason is a HUGE surprise. He did it until the Final last year.

The Celtics will win the series IMO but don't act like the Bulls peaked and the Celtics played horribly and the Bulls had nothing to do with it.

Thomas has been shooting and hitting more of those shots recently. This isn't a new development as of yesterday. It's clear you never even watch the Bulls play. You're trying to analyze a team you never see play.

The Bulls could barely handle a Celtics team led by Davis and Rondo...and when Pierce kicks in and if Ray gets his game together, I don't see them winning this series. That's what I'm saying.

Gordon played like shit for 3 quarters too. Salmons offense was bad and Miller played badly. It's not like the Bulls can't improve. The Bulls "barely" being bale to handle the Celts weren't exactly clicking on all cylinders either.

Gordon shot 35% and Salmons shot 35%. Both much worse than their season averages. They weren't as efficient scorers as they normally were.

It's possibly Allen will struggle as he did last year.

It's possible the Celtics struggled because of the way the Bulls played.

The Celtics missing Garnett negates the one massive advantage they had over the Bulls

Even with all this I still said the Celtics would win the series.

They had basically nothing going their way, and still managed to come within a free throw of a team who had a star player go off for his career high,

And who's other two best scorers played like shit for 98% of the game.

As much as everyone wants it to, the Loss of KG isn't as extreme as people think. Yes, it takes us out of championship contention, but without KG, this is still a team that beat Miami twice, San Antonio, Cleveland, Orlando, Atlanta, Phoenix, Denver, and Philadelphia.

Then again it's a team that is 0-2 against the Bulls w/o KG and you're playing the Bulls right now so I would think that record would be a bit more important.

That was a general statement I made, but yes the loss in Chicago earlier was awful. That game was lack of motivation, which really was where KG needed to be. The Celtics held like a 15 point lead at one point, involving a bullshit technical with like 30 seconds left that killed any chance the Celtics had. Let's not leave out that in that game, Glen Davis, Tony Allen, and Leon Powe were all out hurt. Both games have many different variables, and were completetly different scenarios, while yes...in the end, the Celtics are 0-2 against the bulls...it's hard to say it's because the Bulls matchup well. Game 2 will really tell the story.

Yep Game 2 will tell the story. Game 1 meant nothing. 0-0-1. Can't wait to see who gets the first win.

Too bad he couldn't have only had 12 like he did yesterday. So far this Celtics have shown that they can't beat the Bulls w/o KG and they are prone to letting guys blow up on them for big games. Yep. Be REALLY confident about them.

It's another very basic concept to understand that game 2 will completely shape this series, if the Celtics bounce back and take game 2 in strong fashion, my point is made...however, if it's a very tight close game, then it's quite apparent that the Bulls matchup very well with the Celtics.
