Randy Moss has had sub par seasons 4 of the last 5 years. I don't care how you spin it.
49-767-13 is not a Randy Moss/Torry Holt/All Deacde type season. Sorry.
Neither is 60-1005-8. Again, not to this standard.
No one is dumb enough to defend 2006, so I won't even touch it (42-553-3). These are all seasons that Torry Holt would be embarrased of.
Even last year, statistically he was not at an All Decade level. 69-1008-11. Now tell me about all those double teams. I'll wait.
During the decade, Holt had a stretch where he had 6 consecutive 1300+ yard seasons. Still a record, btw.
He also had a stretch with 6 consecutive 90+ catch seasons.
Now, forget consecutive....Moss had a TOTAL of 3 1300+ yard seasons, and 4 90+ catch seasons during the decade. Combined with his recent stretch of 4 out of 5 sub par (relative) seasons, how can anyone reasonably think Moss had a better decade?? Because he's "feared"? Weak sauce.
And again, Holt has more catches and yards over the course of the decade. It's very hard to make a cohesive, fair argument for Moss, the more you analyse the numbers.
