I think it can be safely assumed that Holt has seen just as many double teams as any other elite, HOF caliber player.

Az Hakim played with Holt for 3 seasons (2 this decade), and i'm fairly certain Tony Horne had less than 10 career catches, so something tells me those guys werent drawing the safeties over the top while Holt shredded #3 CB's one on one.

Interestingly, the most decorated DT of the decade is Kevin Williams of Minnesota. Richard Seymour deserves a mention, even if he's a DT-DE.

Solid choice , but 2003 was his first year thats a few seasons of accumulation the others had by then. I guess it evens out with Glover tailed off and Sapp OOL.


As for Moss getting double coverage. I can say 2 things for certain.
1.No WR got as much attention than Moss has over his career. Rarely if ever singled up.
2. He has also faced the softest coverages of any WR in the league. DBs refused to play him close , refused to bump him , and in some oddball turn of strategy rarely played the ball on him.
The underneath was always open for him. Which is why he was knocked so many times. He never learned quick underneath routes and was an avg guy up the middle for so long. I guess he didnt need to since despite the stacked deep covg he still caught everything deep.

If he produces another stellar year and Holt evaporates Id definitely reconsider.
