When did the Pro Bowl become relevant? I must've missed the memo.

Holt is the most consistent WR of the decade.. there is an argument to be made for Moss, but the people saying its a joke and such are crazy.. Holt is very deserving of making the All-Decade team.

There is a big difference between All-Pro and Pro Bowl. Amazingly, the thing you are bitching about is exactly what I addressed in my posting. I listed their All-Pro selections. All-Pro means 1 player per position. If Moss was All-Pro, that means he was either the best or 2nd best WR in the NFL (because the All-Pro team has two WR positions). It is HIGHLY significant. There are no injury replacements for the All-Pro team, there is no 'player & fan vote', you don't have 8th-string AFC WRs on the All-Pro team.

As much as I think Moss is the best WR since Rice , and the best weapon the game has seen since Faulk. Its very easy to knock him in an "all decade" perspective when compared to Holt.

You have a guy who is a flawless WR. Did nothing but consistently produced despite big upheavals in talent and going from secondary to primary WR. Obviously thats something Randy Moss couldnt handle.
We all know the pluses on Moss but his inconsistency isnt something that is going to be overlooked when compared to a guy putting up better numbers without any of the headaches or downside.

I dont think people realize just how perfect a WR Holt is. His fundamentals are flawless. From play to play game to game and season to season noones been as consistent.

He only really took the second year off in Oakland. Final year in Minnesota he was injury-plagued and half the games he was fit he was just on the field to be used as a decoy, but he still had 13 touchdowns (Which would be a career high for Holt), if that's Moss taking a year off he could do that anytime he wanted for my team.

First year with Oakland i'm pretty sure was the same sort of thing where he still put up 1000 yards with Andrew Walter throwing him the ball and a bunch of minor injuries. Sure his second year was bad, but hardly any worse than Holts most recent year

If youre going to over look Moss' inconsistency , his production drops being self induced than Ill throw in TO ahead of Moss as well. His TD totals are pretty remarkable with a low number of receptions as well.

A good way to evaluate talent is to... I duno... look at stats? Look at performances? If you're evaluating off All-Pro teams.. you're right, they arent the robots, you are. Firsttimers homoism for Sensor81 is astronomical. I swear that everytime I see Sensor getting into the word twist game with somebody I then see Firsttimer coming along to cockstroke Sensor in every argument.

Truth is pro-bowl voting would be a good place to start, but it's not the end all be all for judging best of the decade. And I'll agree also that the media is biased and does get it wrong sometimes. Hell Derrick Mason made it allpro above Holt in 2000. Mason had 895 yds and 5 TD's against Holts 1635 and 6 tds. FUCK THAT!

But Moss does deserve his allpros. Every year he went allpro he lead the league in r/TDs. But that's not the end of the story. He never lead the league in yards, Holt did twice. Never lead the league in receptions, holt did once. He slacked off at least two full years of football, Holt never slacked. Holt had 8 strait 1000+ yard seasons, 1188 being his lowest total. Holt deserves this list, he worked his ass off this decade, he gets extra credit for that. I myself love the things Moss has done, and I usually throw his name out first in these discussions, and Holt becomes an afterthought, but when you really put these two under the microscope Holt inches his way up there. IMO it's Holt this decade. Credit to the author of this list for puting some thought into it.
