they should never speak his name in the NFL again, he was possibly the biggest bust in NFL history, he never did ANYTHING on the field worth value, he holds NO NFL records, he has NEVER led his team to a conference title game, he was not the first player to lead his team into green bay and beat them in the playoffs.

1. The yardage total his skewed because his 300+ lost yards on sacks came off his passing total and not his rushing.

2. The record he broke was held by Bobby Douglass. Bobby Fucking Douglass. Showing that it is possible that a crappy/marginal player can hold a record.

Ha! The Bears defense the second half of that 2006 season was very average at times and Rex made some big plays in the playoffs to help those teams win. Come on! I agree that the shining accomplishment in Vick's career was defeating the 8-8 Rams in the divisional round of the playoffs, but stop pretending like the Rams were the 1978 Steelers. The Rams were horrible. They were so bad that Vick threw for only 82 yards and they still got pounded.

Do you even remember watching the Bears in the 2006 playoffs?

Grossman made some huge plays for the Bears, especially in the Seattle game. The defense after Week 14 or so gave up 20+ points regularly the rest of the season and was not as dominate as they were early on.

Rex played very good football in the NFC Playoffs.

LOL at using Mike Vick's passer rating against the Rams. He threw for 82 fucking yards. That's like holding up his passer efficiency "title" in college when he threw for 12TD's and 5 INT's.

The Rams were 8-8, widely considered one of the worst teams in history to make the playoffs....and

For all of Vick's regular season "success" you can barely say he was a better QB than Jay Fiedler.

To say Vick was a bust is just stupid, the guy won games while in Atlanta and brought something different to every game. You never really felt like the game was over when he was playing, like he always had some trick up his sleeve.

The play against the Vikings in OT, The run against Carolina where he dives and practically flys into the endzone, The TD run against the Saints where he waves his hand over the pylon while going out of bounds... I grew up watching this shit and I'm glad Vick played in Atlanta and gave the sport some amazing plays. I'd take Vick's roller coaster ride in ATL over LT.

I don't understand the label as Vick Fanboy, Sensor has tagged me with it before, it would be similar to me calling someone a Vick hater, when it's just someone debating how they feel about a subject.

anyway, I feel Vick's career was more of a success then a failure, or even an average career.

The kid could play, and he was the best in NFL history at doing what he did, hands down, best scrambling quarterback to ever play the game aside from Cunningham, difference was Cunningham could at least throw a football.

I'll leave it at that, it's clear no one is going to be moved on the subject, like any other debate.

Huh? I remember one game in his career when Vick actually brought the Falcons back from a deficit...it was against Carolina. Otherwise, it was basically the opposite of what you said. You knew right away whether or not the Falcons were going to win or lose with Vick. The game was either going to be an easy win for Atlanta or they would get trounced. Even when the Falcons went 11-5 with Vick (one of their 2 winning seasons during Vick's 6-year reign), they still were losing games by scores of 56-10 and 27-0.
