I am leaning towards the PC version.....supposed to be pretty amazing.

Yeah, wish my ancient PC could handle it. All of Ubisoft's games now are supposedly pretty amazing on PC.

Just started this thanks to another RedBox promo code thing. Liking it so far, but man, the framerate on the 360 is butt.

I haven't had any framerate issues yet. It's running nice and smooth for me.

I didn't think it was a situational thing. I thought it was kind of lambasted for running at like 20 FPS on consoles (even worse on PS3 from what I've heard)? I don't care, but it has definitely been sluggish at times.

I haven't looked closely, but it feels like a steady 30FPS. I know 20 would look abysmal and I would definitely notice that.

Yeah like I said, not really hurting my enjoyment of the game, but it's been choppy. Who knows. I'm a little irritated at myself for bitching about framerate in general.

You pick up the camera in the VERY beginning. Like Swarley said, just press up on the D-Pad and you'll be looking down the viewfinder.

I believe you guys, but never once did I see any prompt about it at all. I've seen every other prompt but none about the camera.

I haven't noticed any framerate issues on PS3. I do have someone on my PSN friend's list that was asking me about it because he has the PC version and said the framerate sucks. But I think he also said that his PC isn't amazing either.

Twigg, I don't think it ever notifies you about the camera. It certainly doesn't tell you about it when you get it, because that's right before things get really crazy. I just stumbled upon it by checking out all of the controls.

That seems crazy then for them to not tell you about such a crucial feature in the game. I mean, they tell you how to throw a rock but not how to use the camera?

Holy shit, I was right about something. I prefer to be wrong. I grew up with outspoken women and anytime I'm actually right about something I get very uncomfortable.

AC3 had similar issues. Ubisoft's tutorial shit seems backward as hell sometimes (particularly in the case of AC3, where the "tutorial" is like 6 hours long, yet some stuff is barely mentioned during it (or only mentioned once, briefly, and then buried in menus).

I haven't noticed any glaring issues on PS3 yet, and I've put a pretty hefty amount of time into the game. I fucking love it, it's everything I wanted from Skyrim, Fallout 3, Just Cause 2, and Ass Creed 3. Buy this fucking game and get completely immersed on this island already.

Spoilery as to the fate of the 4 characters in co-op mode on the vanilla disc/digital DL -

 

TL;DR - Starting in January, if you have a copy for the PS3, UbiSoft is releasing 2 new chapters for Co-Op.

It now seems that this new and exciting DLC will also be free for those who own a copy on the PS3. :wub:

This game is so good. Nothing quite like stalking around nailing people with my bow. Love it.

What the fuck is up with Ubisoft games and their sound though? They only ever let you adjust the master volume, and the background music drowns out the voice work so often. It's weird. It's like everything was done by Hans Zimmer.

I haven't even done any missions in quite awhile and I'm having a fucking blast. Just out hunting trying to upgrade my stuff and sneaking around random bad guys.

I need to make a new wallet for syringes but the only pigs I've been able to find were at the first outpost you clear.

And now I need to either sell or find another species to endanger so I can carry more stuff.

Also, I found a Crocodile while searching for a "Blue Leaf."

I gifted him a grenade after he wouldn't accept my bullets... he took the 'nade and disappeared afterward so I'll have to wait to make a new set of boots another day. :smh:
