Football Manager

Sevilla

I'm currently in Sep 2014 with Sevilla. Not much to really get to excited about yet. We finished 4th in both of the prior two seasons, which are considered a success I guess. The league itself isn't as strong as say those in England, from top to bottom, but they are top heavy. Obviously Real Madrid and Barcelona are nailed on to finish in the top two, and you've got Valencia and Athletico to contend with as well.

The one thing I am proud about is our youth. The board has improved our facilities so they're now some of the best in the world and we're reaping the rewards with amazing youth players coming through the academy. The only major transfers I've made are Jose Angel from Roma for about 4 million, Exteberria from Athletic for 2.5 million, Koke from Athletico for 13 million, and Romero from Sampdoria 15 million. I also brought in Salvatore Bocchetti and Felipe Melo on frees.

The tactics are the same as what I'm using at Liverpool, in fact I developed the tactics and formation while managing Sevilla.

WOW! Fuck this cunt Mike Ashley. I got Newcastle in to the Champions League in 2012-2013, finishing fourth and 10 points clear of fifth. We got to the Semis of the Europa league. Sure, my FA Cup and League Cup performances were poor (third round in each), but I think that was a good first year.

In 2013-2014, things have been a bit of struggle as my new team gets used to each other. We were 2-4-4 with 10 points and sitting in 12th, only 7 points off the Champions League places. I had lost in the Carling Cup 4th round, but had the club sitting top of a Champions League group that has Lyon, Werder Bremen and Dynamo Kiev.

Ugh, got fired after we drew 1-1 with Derby. Did not see this coming, I'd been very polite about Ashley in all my conferences.

Moyes is rumoured to be my replacement
 
Ended up at Swindon Town just before the new year. They are 20th in the Championship so it will be a rescue mission. I applied for a bunch of mid level first division jobs around Europe to no avail. I figured it can't hurt to go down a level.

Only two games so far, a 1-0 loss to Boro and a nice 2-0 FA Cup win against Birmingham
 
Well we are almost at the end of the season. Three games left and I am three points out of relegation zone with games against top half sides to come. I'm not sure what I want to do in the off season. If we stay up, I might stay at Swindon. If there is a budget, there are come ok players in the squad. If there is no budget, I might leave.

The defence that di Canio left is shambles. Probably the slowest in England. The quickest guy I have is a 13 pace/acc. Otherwise everyone is in single digits. I am play Jlloyd Samuel and Nyron Nosworthy major minutes. Freaking Michel Salgado is getting a good run because I have no other RBs and he has a THREE pace. Ugh

Have the house to myself tonight so I hope to wrap up this season and see where I go next
 
JOBBED! Up 1-0 against Burnley in my final match, points which would have put me safe. Even a draw was fine with the way the other matches ended. Then, in the 78th minute one of my guys gets hurt after I've used all my subs. They score 2 in two minutes, and Swindon are down.

I am resigning in disgust at how terrible they played

Boooo. I find that things start getting really interesting a few years in, when you bounce around to new clubs.

So Pardew gets fired from Newcastle in my Liverpool save and takes over for Harry Redknapp at Everton (who replaced Moyes after he left for Dortmund). Pardew now has Everton firmly established as a mid table Championship side. Classic.

In my Liverpool save I've won the league, the Europa League, the Champions League, Super Cup, Manager of the Year, and the Community Shield. We've also been turning a tidy profit of at least 30 million each of the past two years. Despite spending 23 million in transfers this year I still managed to bring in 85 million in player sales. Probably try and win a few titles and see what's out there. Now that Rangers are in the top flight again, I may look to take them over if McCoist leaves.
 
Agreed on all counts. I had a backstory in my head of a hard done by manager. I mean, who gets Champions League football one year and then is scrounging in the Russian Second Div two years later? It was to be a redemption story when I brought Ural to the top flight and beat Newcastle in a cup :smug:

New ME Update today and from what I have played, it makes the game make so much more sense. No longer do my players launch dozens of potshots or run to the byline only to turn around and kick it back to the keeper. The runs and passes they make seem intuitive. Overall, well done SI

I was wondering why I couldn't get any good scoring opportunities. I played 15 matches with Crewe, and scored one goal, while my talent was head and shoulders above the rest of the teams in League 1.
