Typical Man City overpaying the crap out of people, lol.

In my save, they paid Ibrahim Afellay like £9m p/a wages and his transfer fee was something ridiculous,.....and they sat him in reserves for like 5 years in a row without a single league appearance. No one could afford to acquire him either. They transfer listed him, and his fee was only like £2.4m, but no one could afford the wages he was expecting, lol.

That's what they did to Landon, too. I was trying to get him at the beginning and they offered something like $10mil to transfer him and pay him around $145,000 a week. He got a few starts here and there for them, but for the better part of the season was a backup, with some subs in. I did get a chance to negotiate with him but he was looking for a ridiculous amount of money.
 
I'm at the halfway point of the 2016/2017 season with Liverpool here.

We're currently sitting 2nd in the table with a 13-3-3 record, 2 points behind Manchester United. We're on pace to set a modern day Premier League 38-game season team scoring record, currently with 60 goals in 19 games. The record is held by Chelsea with 103 goals. The overall top flight record is held by the 1930-1931 Aston Villa side with 128 goals in the First Division. We're set to fall short of that mark, but shatter the Modern Day (Post-1992) record.

Torres leads the team with 13 goals, with Lukaku behind him at 11. Asamoah has turned into the Ghanian version of Frank Lampard as far as scoring from midfield is concerned, with 9 goals thus far. This is nothing new for him, as he's scored 15, 13, 10, 12, and 16 in the previous 5 years. Biabiany has 4 goals and 14 assists as my leading assist man.

Also failed to mention a season or two ago that Rooney has the new Premier League record for goals in a season with 38 in 37 appearances in 2014/2015. He has also surpassed Alan Shearer's 260 career league goals, currently on 266 with no signs of slowing down just yet with 15 goals in 18 appearances this year. Sorry Newcastle fans.

Booooo @ selling Fellaini. Seems like a massive step backwards if you're going to have Palacios starting in place of Fellaini.
 
Thinkin about starting a new save up. I havent played since the game came out and I totally overkilled it with Newcastle and burnt myself out.

Its either going to be Fulham, or Southampton.... Who shall it be?
 
If you have extra money and Palacios isn't working out, which is possible, although I think he's rated pretty well in the game, go for Defour or Moussa Sissoko. They both can become just as good or better than Fellaini, for half the price.

Javi Martinez, Nuri Sahin, Daniel Kofi Agyei, Steven N'Zonzi, and Jack Collison are good options as well.

Him and Bily will both be getting time there until someone establishes themselves there. Tim has the upper hand in that but as we speak right now he has 2 goals from the central mid and Bily has 1 from the hole.

Just picked up four points from three games and I'm somehow still clinging onto this job. I would imagine I have to beat Birmingham at home next match, which can hopefully get me through an Arsenal game to the FA Cup against Aldershot. Weiss joins for 1.1 mil in January as well, which could really help.
 
This game frustrates the shit out of me sometimes. Currently I am managing Middlesbrough and I can't put together a string of victories to save my life. My team will get up 1-0 and IMMEDIATELY, I am talking like within 5 minutes, they allow an equalizer. Ugh, so frustrating.

Took Birmingham 2-1, then almost got a draw at Arsenal, they scored in the 92. That was Weiss' first game and he scored, then beat Aldershot 4-0, two goals and an assist from Weiss. So, I still have the job. I have Wolves next, then Man Utd, a win against Wolves should get me through to an easy stretch of games where I can probably secure my job and avoid a firing.

Dzeko is currently out of contract in 6 months, I'm doing my all to get him. I don't have the wage space right now, but a lot of people are gunning for Sissoko. I've done my best to keep him happy, but it might be in my best interest to let him go for 15m+, then signing Dzeko immediately and possibly getting a backup at DM so Defour can slide into the first eleven. It's just so hard to let Sissoko go.
 
Coutinho has been amazing so far this season for me. He was just going to be a rotational player but because of injuries was forced into the starting lineup and has not made one bad start since. He's racked up 1 goal and 6 assists in the EPL in 4 apps, as well as 6 goals in the pre-stages of the Europa Cup in 4 apps there.
