The things that stood out to me so far in the videos currently available...
Drew could've just titled his picks "Top 10 PC games of 2012". But LOL at his #1 pick. Halo 4? Seriously? The multiplayer is basically the same as it always has been and the four hour campaign is laughable.
I second Handle laughing about BlOps2 being on Gerstmann's list. He's always been a CoD fanboy though. Was the BlOps2 campaign entertaining? Sure. Was it enough to put in any any Top 10 of any year? Fuck no. Plus the multiplayer is the same bullshit. I did like how he included Syndicate. The co-op is fun but ultimately it doesn't do a whole lot new. I don't think it's top 10 material but I can see how someone could include it.
How are Borderlands 2, Max Payne 3, Hitman or Sleeping Dogs not on any of these guys' lists? Really?
As much as they all seemed to slon on Dishonored's knob, it's not on any list yet either? I'm guessing it will be on Patrick's list.

I am actually agreeing with Maynard to an extent on this one. 2012 was filled with a lot of pretty good to solid games. It was deep in that area! But it was very thin compared to the last recent years, no offense. Uncharted 2, 3, Mass Effect 3, Skyrim, GTA 4, Red Dead Redemption, God of War 3, Battlefield 3, Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City etc. etc. etc. Comparing these games to say 2010, the only game I could have seen being even nominated for GOTY would be Borderlands 2 and maybe Halo.

I still need to play Forza Horizon, but for those that have, is the concept basically the original MotorStorm? It sounds exactly like it.
Also, a good percentage of these guys have Asura's Wrath on there list. I really nned to at least play it. Everything about screams that I will hate it. Anime? Despise it. Almost completely QTE's? Dumb. You have to pay extra to see the ending? Fuck you Capcom. I have a feeling I'm going to play it and want to punch all of these guys in th face but I do want to try it.

I'm not going to say that you'll like it, but what your thoughts on Asura's Wrath is exactly what the guys at GB have said their feelings about the game were before playing it. I thought the demo was alright, but it wasn't something that I wanted to spend more than $15 for (especially when Capcom came out with the true ending DLC).

Yes it is. Just JMS talking out of his ass again about a game he has probably never played.
Vinny is the only reason I listen to GB talk about video games on the podcast. He has tastes most similar to mine, and more importantly, unlike the rest of them he will play ANYTHING with an open mind and is often the only one unwilling to write something off as terrible without at least giving it a fair shot (and in most cases he seems to always look for the best in everything).
Jeff dismisses genre's unfairly without trying them, but he'll usually qualify it, Ryan isn't too bad. Patrick and Brad are THE WORST. I have heard Patrick call games he has never touched "terrible". Not "that games looks pretty bad, but I haven't played it". Not "that doesn't look like it's a game for me". Just full on "that game is terrible".
