Has an End Boss ever ruined a game for you?

The same could apply for really any super frustrating section of a game.

I decided to make this thread because the past few days I've been playing Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters (PS2 version). I love the R&C series and I wanted to play through this game before starting on A Crack In Time, as I've finished all of the previous games.

I don't think I'd be alone in saying that the final bosses in these games are always balls hard, but this game takes the fucking cake. I'm so frustrated that I may not finish it, which sucks because I'm so close.

I also remember playing through the first Onimusha. I loved that game because it was like Resident Evil but had a lot more action. The problem with that game was that I also could never get past the final boss. And that boss was one of those bullshit two-parters where you think you have it beat and then the boss resurrects from the grave into some other gargantuan form that takes up the entire screen.

I also stopped playing the first Red Faction on PS2 (the game that got me into FPS's) because I could never get past this one level. It consisted of all these enemies with these rail guns that could kill you with one shot. After dying 100 times I finally game up.

So anyway, who else has met up with an End Boss that brought them to the brink of sanity?

Red Faction like you said was a biggie. I had a hard time with that one, and the second one.

There has been times during Halo 2 with the swarm, it was fucking annoying.

GTA: San Andreas. I forgot what misssion but it took me for forever to beat it.

I can probably think of a few more later.

fuckin bridge and the train on uncharted 2, the damn sword in the stone on fable, there was another one that was the whole reason i came into this thread but i forgets... what was the end boss on red faction i dont remember, I thought that whole game was to easy (just realized you were talking about the ps2 one not the new one..)

Mm, I stopped playing Fable because I was trying to do that whole Gladiator type survival thing to impress the queen and accidentially left the building, losing all of the mission that I already completed. Got pissed and took the game out. Never put it back in.

The dumbass boss at the end of Kirby's Dreamland. After going through the whole stinkin game, that boss was no tougher than the 4 before. Absolute bullshit.

Quite honestly Far Cry's final level might have been the hardest final level I've ever played in my life. The last boss in that game was something rediculous as well.

The end boss(es) in GoW2 kinda ruined it for me. Not because they were hard, because they were too fucking simple. One consisted of mashing the B button and dodging some poison and falling pillars, and the other couldn't even kill you unless you let it. Dumb.

The last boss was easy, it was the thing that came out of the ground that drove me crazy.

It took me nearly an hour to beat it, running around eating everyone I could...then jacking a chopper to hit it with missiles.

I dunno if its a boss but i got caught in some stupid ass cave in Fable that i couldnt get past. I tried a million times but couldnt go through the "level" or whatever so gave up and havent touched Fable 1 since.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is currently pissing me off. I cant beat a Group of Dog pokemon in a cave. Theres like 8 of them and they all surround you and each one gets to hit you. One time though i was able to get down to just the head Dog but my partner was killed and when your partner dies you have to restart the level, which i think is bullshit!

Almost. I tried something like 50-60 times to beat the end boss on Soul Calibur 2, the fire dude was crazy.

Yeah I stopped playing GTA San Andreas once I got to the point where I needed to learn how to fly planes/helicopters. I just couldn't figure out how to do it.

Me AND my homie tried this for days. We would play this shit in turns trying to beat it. I think it took us like a week of trying. He beat it, not me. So I've yet to beat it to this day. I'd love to play through SA again someday. I dont even have it anymore.

Mile High Club(CoD4) took me at least 100 tries. I beat it twice once I got my route down pat.
