Omiyale has been a huge disappointment and Williams is well on his way to being a bust.

I agree with your general point though I thought we'd improve over last year and frankly Orlando Pace just regressed to the point where he's almost entirely worthless this year.

Pace has been up and down. He played really well versus the Niners then got hurt late in the game. It seems like even in his best games where he plays great all the way along he will end up making a mistake or getting hurt. For example the Atlanta game. Up until that last drive Pace played very well. Pace hasn't been as good as we thought, but he hasn't been hot garbage either. Them trying to move Omiyale to guard, a position he has never played, was idiotic. Why do that? It's just another example of this organizations ineptitude in scouting and evaluating their own players ability to play a position. Yeah Omiyale played like crap at LG but I have a hard time blaming him for it when the Bears put him in that position in the first place and he shouldn't be there. Plus even when they benched him for Beekman the line didn't play much better.

Agreed. Kruetz had a few god games at the start of the year but as regressed badly. You never hear Garza's name so I suppose that's a sign that he isn't playing badly...but also that he's not a world beater. At this point I have no faith in this line "gelling" anytime soon. Basically just play out the season and hope they don't murder Cutler.

Also, LOL of the night after the Niners game..Marcellus Wiley was on ESPN breaking down the game and said something to the effect: "Well the Niners didn't have any sacks so you know they weren't getting any pressure on Cutler" my jaw dropped. Clearly an example of Wiley commenting on a game he didn't even watch. Hmmm I bet he has an account here...... Cutler was running for his life most of the night and almost got killed in the 4th quarter on a hit.

...Can you only imagine Orton or Grossman with this line? Oh god. At least Cutler can step up in the pocket and scramble a bit. Orton/Grossman in this line would make David Carr jealous.

I'm not going to defend Cutler's dumb throws. He has made some horrid ones. But posting sack totals as if it proves the Bears OLine hasn't sucked this year is false and misleading. The Bears rank 30th in the NFL in rushing and anyone who actually watches the Bears for more than 1qtr can see the offensive line this year at best has been maybe average and most of the time just bad. Cutler gets himself out of a lot of sacks and is near the tops of the league in QB hurries and knockdowns IIRC. He has taken some vicious shots this year and the Bears OL has been down right putrid many times.

Yeah Cutler makes stupid throws(goal line in Niners game and end of 49ers game for example) and I won't defend those. Those throws can't happen and need to stop but it's also beyond absurd to post sacks as though it proves the Bears line is not a HUGE problem this season. It;s been a problem since week 1 and I shutter to think how many sacks they would have given up if Orton or Grossman were still here...

The Bears are ranked 9th in the NFL with 51 QB "hits". I'm not exactly sure what qualifies as a "hit" but I am assuming that you would want the number of times your franchise QB was "hit" to be really small.
