That said, they need to cut out all the stupid penalties. And in Green Bay later this season, the O-Line won't get all those false start penalties at Lambeau vs Chicago.

The false starts had more to do with those two tackles being scared of peppers than they did with the crowd noise. You notice they were only jumping on the side he was on. Unless he gets hurt, or they turn into pro-bowl linemen out of no where then you'll prob see alot of the same things next time they play.

Yeah crowd noise is not really an issue at Soldier Field. Ive commented several times this year about how QUIET the crowd is.. its really pretty sad considering the team is 3-0.

Cutler was average at best last night and got lucky several times.

Green Bay played an absolutely horrible game on defense. About as bad as they possibly could have, and Cutler went 16/27 for 221 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, and took 3 sacks.

I saw Clay Matthews get held about 3 times that would have resulted in 3 more sacks or 3 more picks and I saw the GB D lose 3 interceptions due to penalties.

No denying he is much better than last season and it is all due to Martz, but Cutler himself is not special.

I also think that teams will be much more prepared for the Bears scheme as the season goes on.

I admit that I hate Culter with a passion so I'm a bit biased.

The Bears D, on the other hand, looks pretty damn good and for real.

I'm a fan of Martz, and I think the Bears looked better last night than they have in the past couple years. That said, their offense was completely underwhelming last night. The difference of the game was the special teams. Hester scored 1 TD himself. He set up another TD, but the Martz offense once again failed to punch it in from the 1 yard line. The Bears blocked a FG by Crosby which ended up being the difference of the game. Cutler had two big INTs called back due to ridiculous penalties.

They hired one of the best OCs in the game, and they're passing attack is currently ranked 6th. The scary part is, that offense is still learning Martz's system. I was also told that Chicago had a bad QB, bad WRs, bad O-line, and no running back - Yet, again, their passing attack is ranked 6th in the NFL - higher than both New Orleans and Houston.

If that's ''overrated,'' Chicago can probably still grab their old OC next season.

passing attack rank isnt really that impressive or worth being noticed after 3 games. And anyone and their mother can get lots of yards passing now. I'm not saying he is bad. its just too early to say anything that positive.

but he did throw right into the hands of Packers like 3 or 4 times....

passing yards aren't that big a deal. everyone is getting lots of that.

they are currently behind SD and Denver.

all those yards and they couldn't score till end of first half.

We have three games to go on. I can't see into the future, and I'm fairly certain you can't either. So, as silly as this may seem, let's go by the three football games that were actually played.

3 for 3 - check.
Top 5 offense, which was Martz's goal - check.
Less turnovers by Jay Cutler - check.

Still early? Yes. But it wasn't too early for people to put Green Bay as the team to beat in the NFC, now was it? Which, oh yeah, Chicago did last night. Now, if you look back at last season - Jay Cutler went 0-2 against Green Bay. He had quarterback ratings of 43 and 74, throwing 6 interceptions in those two games alone. It might be too early to put Chicago in the superbowl, but it's not too early to say: This is an improving football team on both sides of the ball. And the offense, which is being praised even by Chicago's defense, can now, for once, sustain drives, which will allow the defense to get some much needed rest during games.

Now, if Chicago was, say, 1-2 and Jay Cutler was sucking ass like Brett Favre is sucking ass right now, it wouldn't be too early for people to say the Martz signing was a huge fail, right? Or too early for people to start ''Jay Cutlulz, lol.'' It fucking sucks seeing jay Cutler and Mike Martz succeed, doesn't it? I understand.

We're three weeks in, and going by those three weeks - Chicago is one of the best teams in the NFL.
