NFL execs evaluate players for years and still get it wrong all the time. And they, unlike you, actually know what they are looking for. You expect us to take you seriously when you have literally never seen him play?

That is setting aside the obvious issues that stem from making declarative statements about how any college player will perform at the next level. We just don't know. You especially.

I have seen him play.

And there have been NFL scouts that have said Manziel will be just as good if not better than RG3, Luck, and Wilson while another reportedly said he "has Canada written all over him". Everyone has a different opinion, and no one here has the same credentials to evalute players that they do. Doesn't mean no one should talk about these players.

My original point was just this: It's not a given Manziel will be drafted high or drafted. I didn't say anything about how he'd play at the next level. Not once. I stated why I think he won't be a high draft pick. Nothing else.

I did not once make a "declarative statements about how any college player will perform at the next level." If you show me I'll apologize and admit I'm wrong. I said it won't be a given he's drafted high or at all. The hype train has many thinking he's a slam dunk first round pick.

Maybe i'm missing something here, but all Aso is saying is that being a good college QB doesn't mean you'll be a high draft pick, or drafted at all. It's a pretty basic point and one that I don't think anybody would disagree with.

Why would we compare him to Brennan or White? Why would those even enter your mind? Awful examples to even bring up, and it further shows his lack of understanding of/attention paid to college football.

And its funny because you originally attacked me for something I didn't do because supposedly I made a declarative statement on how well Manziel will play in the NFL.

What I've realized is I'll always be criticized for what I say regardless which is why I fight so hard and keep going. I called Thomas Jones disastrous 2011 and career end after but still got shit for saying it at the time by everyone. But I was right, it was never brought up again and no one ever ate crow. I also said Vincent Jackson was better than Moss in early 2010 and that Moss was done as an elite receiver. Very long thread ensued and I got a ton of shit for it but guess what, I was exactly right. 2 seasons of less than 500 yards and one season where he sat out entirely while Jackson did nothing but play tremendously well. No one at crow. Regardless of how much I know or how qualified I am I'll always get shit for my views. Even if its something as simple as what was said in this thread.
