When you watch a game, you can pretty much see who's distant within the game, and who's not. It's intangible; something that you won't see on a Stat sheet anywhere. Call it Killer Instinct.
Actually, the only time he looked alive that night is when he hit two three-pointers back to back in the third quarter. Then he went back to being lethargic. I think the only hope people had for the Cavaliers to win that game was during those three pointers.
And he looked lethargic the WHOLE game, not just in the 4th quarter. When Kobe was in game 7, he didn't have his best game but he didn't look downright out of it for the entirety of the game. When situations call for it, the best players are able to be clutch, and close it for their team. I'm not saying that the best are ALWAYS going to do that, but the stage is set at least. LeBron didn't try. He simply quit. Sure, his stats were great, but the effort wasn't in that game for the most part.
Did you even watch the game? Or is the sight of LeBron James in a Heat jersey blinding you from the obvious?
