Here is what I can't understand about this entire situation.

Why is it so hard for Jets fans to just say "hey, we got away with one"?

Refs miss calls all the time, what's the big deal? Why do fans feel the need to support the team to the death, even when it makes them look foolish?

The Jets got away with a very lucky PI call against Quintin Jammer covering Santonio Holmes at the end of the game against the Chargers today, giving them a critical 1st down to run the Chargers out of timeouts and run the clock down under 2:00. The Jets were lucky, and I know this.

I have no problem calling it how it is. I know the game. You sir, clearly don't. It's a black/white call for you with no interpretation or feel of the way players have been allowed to play throughout the game. And you want to also insist that the offense is exempt from any wrongdoing, like dipping your shoulder and throwing it into a CB with no repercussions.

Let me tell you something, football is a game of interpretation, yet you still fail at it.

Revis grabbing the jersey is not incidental contact. Again, you don't understand the rule.

Also note, that Marshall stumbles after Revis mugs him and let's go of his jersey.

I don't understand how you can keep bringing up how Marshall "plowed" into Revis (hardly), yet you keep downplaying the fact that Revis GRABBED HIS JERSEY. You can't do that.

Marshall is tripping ALREADY before he bowls over into Revis.

Here's another thing...Marshall already established he was going to be physical with Revis by pushing off with him on his 1st two catches. So the refs are not gonna call a play when Marshall lost balance before he could get his route started and actually ran into Revis. Marshall tripping over himself in his route and Revis grabbing some jersey to gain balance to avoid getting bowled over by an out of control Marshall is what it is.

All you want to know is if Revis touched him? lol he did that, he grabbed some jersey. But it wasn't PI, it wasn't called, the head of officiating said it wasn't PI. The physicality of the previous plays surely helped with this call not to mention Marshall initiated contact because he was stumbling in his route.

I see Marshall trying to get past Revis and run his route. He's fighting away from the jam at first. He makes a hop step and tries to break into his route. He doesn't start to tumble until Revis grabs his jersey (regardless of what anyone says, yes, he grabbed the jersey) beyond five yards, pulls, and makes Marshall stumble. It's so obvious. That's, at the least, a defensive holding or illegal contact. Yes, it is a penalty.

I will say this though. Matt Moore threw a horrible pass. I don't know if the Revis tug/push influenced the route, but it looked like Marshall was looking to get inside, not outside where the pass ended up. Revis saw the ball pretty much the whole way before Marshall could even turn around. Doesn't hurt that when he saw the ball he had his jersey either.

At the end of the day, he got away with one. I don't even understand why there's such a huge argument about this anyway. The Jets won this game convincingly and it was ruled an interception. We're not discrediting Revis or the game. The refs just blew a call.

FWIW I wouldnt have called PI ((but again Im almost always against the flag)) , I see why they didnt call PI and common sense says its not PI.If you want to be a rule book stickler sure but thats a highly subjective play when the WR is clearly initiating the contact , running into the chest of the CB and already off balance before it. Jersey pulling happens as often as elbows to the ribs and face.

Live watching I dont think Revis got away with anything. SloMo with Gruden blabbering would sway it towards a bad call.
