IMO he had 1 good playoff game and that was against the Pats.

The Pitt game he had a good game, and the Cincy game you can at least label as solid.

He is a serviceable guy but should be farther along if he want to be a top NFL QB. Look at Dalton and Newton they are already beyond Mark.....which is amazing actually.

I don't think they are beyond Mark at this point. Dalton's number's are almost identical to Sanchez's. Cam Newton is playing well beyond what people thought, but is still very raw. They might be better than Mark at some point, but if I was going into a playoff game and had to choose between the three, I would take Sanchez right now.

well the league is getting more and more passer friendly each year so it is to be expected but there are still guys out there who are struggling hard.

I guess if you good you wont need the 2-3 years anymore. Puts alot of pressure on Mr Luck.

It also seems that the Jets are SUPER conservative with Sanchize in the playoffs but hey it works......till the AFC Championship game at least.

That's how this offense is...it's super conservative all the way around...playoffs, regular season, preseason, practice...

His numbers are skewed a bit by that horrific Ravens game where they had a undrafted rookie playing center against a top 5 defense and he was destroyed...

then his best deep threat in Braylon Edwards is gone for someone who's a better possession type WR/endzone WR in Plaxico and he just got back into shape.

Losing 3rd down beast in Cotchery, deep threat Edwards didn't help. Replacing him by the waste that was Mason and Plax who didnt' play in years hurt the passing game early, especially when they wanted to open the passing game up.

He seems to have a better rapport with his WR's now, plax is much better now than earlier, and Kerley is a MUCH better slot option than Mason.

Sanchez played sparingly his SO year and 1 full year...possibly him and Dalton have taken close to the same amount of snaps college and NFL right now...Sanchez was a raw prospect who was thrown into the fire early and played through his struggles/success.

Cam WAS playing lights out...10 INT's, 3 fumbles, he's completing 60% of his passes and has tons of yards...he's a better prospect than Sanchez I'll agree with that and even more impressed he's doing this with shortened prepared time.

If Newton's playing lights out, I'm not sure what adjective you would put on what Rodgers is doing this year lol.

The Panthers scored 3 points on Sunday. Maybe lights out isn't the term I'd use to describe Newton right now, but he's been good.

Newton was the first pick this year, and is a dynamic qb with his arm and ability to run. He's playing like the first pick should be.

Read, Jets fans are happy with how Sanchez is playing. I have probably missed 2-3 games that Sanchez has played in since being drafted, and it is clear that he has progressed. Like I've said, plenty of times, he's a middle of the pack QB, and rarely loses games for us (this season anyway). He has progressed, he's making reads faster and throwing the ball quicker to where he needs it to go. He was solid against the Patriots, his first INT was trippled tipped, and the second int's blame goes to the Rex.

Dalton may become better than Sanchez, but for now and the next 2 years, they'll be the same. Until then, Sanchez keeps doing what we ask him to do, and that's fine.

Flacco's the better QB, he's having a down year for sure. But don't just assume that doesn't mean Sanchez is progressing when you look at the stats.

The holdout is making everyone think that it's all of a sudden easy to play QB in the NFL. Things are getting back to normal as the season progresses and defenses start to improve their schemes and scout QB's and offenses.

Things have already started to settle down and the good QB's are starting to separate themselves from the average QB's.

That said, I do agree with you in that good college QB's with experience are ready to start in the NFL from season 1 but that doesn't mean they are going to excel right away and sitting could help them.

Aaron Rodgers was on Mike & Mike this morning talking about how he was able to master the offense by sitting for a few years and get mentally and physically ready for the NFL.

He talked about how well Andy Dalton is doing right now and said in a few years Dalton will look back and realize how little he actually knows right now.

But I think Dalton it helped because he played his whole collegiate career...he's seen most defenses thrown at him...of course the NFL it's another level and speed but he's gotten extensive game reps to get prepared for the NFL...Sanchez is literally learning on the fly and while he may never be more than average for his career, I certainly don't think he's as bad as people make him out to be or claim that some people said he was elite (I'd like to see that myself...)

Yeah, he's looked terrible this year, especially against teams that aren't any good. Here is what I think...Flacco had success in 2010, and the Ravens looked to expand Flacco's role in the offense a little more. But, the Ravens lost Heap (Flacco's go-to guy when healthy), they got rid of Derrick Mason, signed a completely ineffective Lee Evans, and now start stonehands Torrey Smith at WR. The Ravens took a big step backwards in terms of receiving corps, yet they still want Flacco to play a prominent role.

Is Todd Heap really that much better than Ed Dickson? And Derrick Mason struggles to get separation and last year was really nothing special. At least with Lee Evans and Torrey Smith they have vertical threats they haven't had in years past. I don't think the supporting cast around him is really much if any worse at all. They even got Bryant McKinnie at LT who's been playing well and moved Michael Oher back to his more natural position at RT.

I think you are right about them trying to expand Flacco's role in the offense and I think that on it's own is why Flacco's not having a good year. The Ravens have been forcing the issue with this as well (Jaguars game).
