Honestly, I forgot all about you telling me that.

I guess I just need to pick up 2 on PS3 then since it has some of the DLC already. What content is it missing?

If I'm not mistaken, only the last one release which was pretty much a waste of money anyway.

It has Overlord which is pretty good, and Shadow Broker, which is probably the best DLC I've ever played, so you're good to go.

You're only missing the weapons pack, two costume swaps for your crew, new gear and the Arrival DLC.

But the Arrival DLC came out after the collection disc so there's nothing to do there... you can skip it unless you REALLY need to know why Shepard's in custody on Earth at the start of ME3.

I think ME3 will skim over that though when the game hits.

Someone here told me arrival and Lair of the shadow broker are the best DLC this game or any game for that matter has to offer.

I tend not to believe that cause some of the Fallout 3 DLC was fucking epic.

Lair of the Shadow Broker is high quality DLC. Worth every penny. Not so sure about Arrival because I never played it but you can just watch a Youtube clip to get the gist of that one. I haven't heard any convincing reviews that Arrival was "must have" DLC.

Arrival isn't bad, but I'm surprised someone would put it on the same level as Shadow Broker. Arrival is just kind of there. I think I would have liked it more if it was free (but fat chance that would ever happen).

Regardless, in this world of mostly shit DLC, you could definitely do worse than Arrival.

The Kasumi DLC was pretty fun too. Very different pacing from beginning to end.

And I think Twigg should get ME1. It's not a bad game by any stretch and it would give him a much greater appreciation for what ME2 accomplished. You'd be skipping over a lot by just hitting the key points of ME1 in a comic. Plus, the Batarian DLC was pretty fun in ME1, which comes included in the Platinum Hit version.

Something unfortunate that I just realized is both my level 60 on ME1 and level 30s on ME2 are on my old account, which is silver. So either I fork over money for a 1 month, hope the co-op portion doesn't have very significant benefits on the campaign, or rush or start fresh with my current account.

I'm not surprised but a little disappointed there's no local co-op, but that doesn't really seem to be a priority for many games at all any more anyways.

Has there been anything addressing the Citadel in ME3? That was one of the few aspects of ME2 I thought was lacking in comparison to ME1.

The Citadel in the first one was excellent in every way. Tons of side missions that you had to discover completely on your own, tons of interesting side-characters, tons of 100% unique locations. If they could make a level that expansive but more populated again it'd be amazing.

EDIT -- Also, Twigg, I don't know how many times I can tell you that you need to just skip the first one. The aiming is based on dice rolls and, for the most part, pretty much shit. The game does a good job after a while at making you forget that, but early on it is something that a person like you would hate.

ME2 was nothing more than companion missions. Do a mission to find the companion, then do a mission to make the companion your friend....repeat that about 10 times then complete the main quest

It isn't based on how good you are at aiming, it is based entirely on your accuracy rating with that weapon.

Dice rolls =/= turn based. ME2 is aim and shoot. ME1 you have to improve your specific gun ability to improve your aim/effectiveness with that gun. You can have the aiming reticule rested squarely on an enemy, shoot, and miss. It's like Alpha Protocol in that respect (although not as punishing as Alpha Protocol).

And we'll just have to agree to disagree about the story. Particularly your somewhat dense way of breaking it down. The story was about Shepherd building a team of elites for his mission. Why penalize it for that? ME1 had a great story as far as tracking down Saren, but it's dogshit side quests were extremely sub par and it's locales outside of the Citadel left a lot to be desired.

I guess it's just me, I found very little at fault with ME2 and while I loved ME1, it has a lot of problems that they thankfully learned from with 2.

None of which were worse than the lunar landing missions. How many times could they rehash the same buildings is beyond my comprehension.

i just think your description was wrong. calling it a dice roll is misleading and unfair. dice roll makes it seem random when in fact its based on your character build and leveling up skills. how was that any different than ME2? the only difference was they built it into the the character build...as an adept i automatically had the ability to use certain weapons cause they chose to streamline, or dumbdown the rpg aspects and build it right into your chosen class

im am not arguing at all that 1 was better than 2. ME2 was way better and alot more fun. I just hope ME3 stories have more variety than the cookie cutter companion stories. they were not bad, but they were all structured the same way. they needed to mix it up...throw in some surprises. It was very predictable

Hearing about all that shit in ME1 really turned me off and I basically had no interest in it. ME2 seems like a lot more up my alley though.

The fact that the PS3 release reduces ME1 to a digital comic and gets me right into what many say is the better game, plus (almost) all of the DLC, it seems perfect for me.
