Right now Silver is definitely the most fun. Got all the way through it a few times. Got to wave 9 or 10 a lot more. I baited some guys looking for Bronze game into a Gold match. We did alright, got to wave 4 and then got raped by Phantom's :smh:. So far I think the Geth might be the most difficult class to play against on Silver.

i did the mission where you investigate the rachni reports and the lost krogan scout team. i chose to save the queen again and didnt think it would lead to shepard leaving grunt behind so they could get out.

they show the scene with him fighting off the rachni and being overwhelmed and you think he was gonna be dead. then his bloody body comes up right as shep is about to leave.

thats an emotional scenerio cause you are saddened by grunts death only to have him survive. good stuff other than it was a bitch move to have shep leave grunt on his own. I was hoping he would turn around and go join his friend...but he didnt

again though, grunt jumped on the normandy and is nowhere to be found on the ship....i guess he mysteriously transported to a hospital or something

So what is the benefit of "promoting" a character in Multiplayer? I have a level 20 Vanguard and I'm just curious.

And Silver is a lot of fun, just the right amount of challenge. Gold, however....ick. Especially as a Vanguard because I rely so heavily on other people to take out the shields/barriers/armor of dudes. I personally hate the Reapers because Brutes and Banshee's (especially Banshee's) just fucking RUIN things at close range. Phantoms too though. Basically anything that can just grab you and 1-hit you.

You get 25 points (not sure if it's culmulative or a one-time-only thing per SP game), towards your Readiness Score.

Also, your Galaxy At War score % goes up, which helps SP as well.

It's there in the main menu when you boot the game up.

I just spent literally 25 minutes as the last surviving member on level 9 of Gold running from the last Banshee and chipping away at him until he fucking insta-killed me from what felt like half the screen away. Rage.

Wait until 15 at least to do Silver unless you get with three LVL 20s.

Or get with someone with good weapons. A guy with a level 15-ish character with a Widow pulled our team and my level 4 Engineer ass along last night for a few matches while I leveled up. I've never felt so useless in game before as enemies just shrugged off my attacks.

You can put points toward it and earn attachments for sniper rifles that'll help later on.

The PC version is probably the best.

I've been doing my second playthrough lately, and there is a lot that I missed by avoiding the sidemissions on my first playthrough. The fetch-quests seem to be overabundant though. I've also got the DLC installed, and while it's nice to have insight into Prothean history, he's certainly not required to enjoy the experience.

i wonder if you can use a 360 controller on the PC. you could not with ME1 and ME2

There's no native support, but what's wrong with using spacebar for everything?

Man I must have done things just as Bioware designed because I only switched discs 3 times all game (same as ME2). I read some horror stories though of people being 11 hours in and having changed discs like 12 times.

I think I had the same. 3 swaps and that was it.

I honestly dont know how switching a damn cd hinders gameplay. It's literally a 30 second task.
