It will be interesting to see how the Ravens build around Flacco, because much like Brady when he was young Flacco is playing for a quality organization that was led by it's veterans, but a time will come when he has to lead and by "the guy". Next year's Ravens team and going forward won't have the offensive or defensive weapons that this years team had.

Conversely, the Falcons OL is pretty mediocre at best.

Baltimore doesn't have exactly the best o-line in the league either. Not to mention the o-line they had in the playoffs was a completely new line with players rotating like crazy.

I just don't get why the Ryan supporters in this thread are so quick to act like the QB is just like any other position and measured solely on in-season stats. It's the most intangible/mental position in any sport and your team's performance directly correlates to a QB's performance in key games/situations.

I'm no Ryan supporter, but this year he did everything he could have done, but the defense allowed SF to drive right down the field in 30 seconds to win the game.

Joe Flacco looks as if he's completely plateaued. It doesn't look like he's not getting any better. Now I would watch more Joe Flacco and give you my thoughts but I'm banned from NFL Game Rewind. But whenever I watch Flacco I walk away entirely unimpressed. He might wind up with decent stats, but that's after a lot of bad plays that went nowhere.

I don't even place Ryan above Flacco. They're both great quarterbacks who aren't on the Rodgers/Brady level. I was just challenging your logic
