lol. charging fouls took me a while to get down. seems like you have to get there earlier than you did in 2k9.

Are you holding turbo when you go up to contest a shot? That generally makes your player flail wildly and more likely to commit a foul imo.

Sliders are meant to be tweaked though so hopefully you can find a rules setting comfortable for yourself.

Those are called swat blocks, and no. Charging fouls were actually working great until I got called for that shooting foul. It seems as long as I'm in front of the driving player in space, I can just tap B, or in your case O, and I draw the charge.

Alright, just finished playing first game with this. I happened to start a Fantasy Draft Association (just until some good Draft Classes come out) with the Golden State Warriors. Got crushed by the Houston Rockets in the first game. I'll let it be noted I'm not exactly the greatest at this game and some dumb turnovers in the 1st quarter was a big factor in me getting behind so much. Other than that though, I still enjoyed the game and thought it was pretty realistic aside from the fact that Houston's shooting % was a little high. And I'm not quite sure what the average for points in the paint is, but they were pretty high as well.

Take the number of points in the Paint (72) and divide it by the total points (104) and that will give you the percentage. (69%)

Both of us were missing way too many 3 pointers, open ones as well. 55/48 seems to be more realistic.

Dunk Success raised to 40/40.

Too many dunks were ricocheting out. 40/40 seems better. Didn't see any ricochet out besides one or two contested ones in my last game.

Turn down CPU throw alley oop tendency to 40. CPU was still doing way too many at the previous setting.

Another thing to look at Mike. The players are still not sticking to their man enough and the CPU is still scoring points at will in the paint.

Driving to the paint or lead passes into the paint?

I'm doing alright keeping guys from driving but the lead passes get me from time to time. But then again, i'm the T'Wolves. So I dunno.

In the first half of me using these sliders, I had 10 steals. Way to easy on these, so I turned it down. The rest of the game was great, much better than default sliders.

I find the default sliders for steals acceptable it's the passing lanes that get cloged and that's where a lot of my turnovers are coming from. I'm not attempting to get a whole lot of steals. Maybe during the pass but after that I just man up and play D. No repeatedly pressing Square.

And to answer your question Mike it was the lead passes. Driving to the paint has been shut down, on both ends. I can't even drive with LeBron to be honest. I have to actually shake the defender to get free.

Turn down CPU Tendency back door cuts from 45 to 40 and it appears to make it managable. Roy was killing me with it to the point where it wasn't even realistic anymore due to the fact that I play on ball D.

Back door cuts slider works wonders now. Still getting inside but due to defensive lapse and solid pick and rolls. CPU's PIP has been averaging out to 45-55% of the scoring total. My last game the Heat scored 58 of their 112 in the paint. CPU is not doing this every game though so I think those sliders are where they need to be.

So turning down back door cuts to 40 worked for you? It worked for me as well.

My last game the Heat scored 58 of their 112 in the paint.

dont forget to subtract fast break points and points scored off of putbacks from that to get an accurate PIP output. around 40-50% is legit for points scored in the paint.
