Brandon Inge is solid. Maybe strikes out a bit much but a solid addition to the bottom 3rd of your lineup.

Yeah. I like both Inge and Chavez, but I like Chavez more. Even though Chavez is older, more injury-prone, and has a higher salary, I still like him. Inge has more pop in his bat, though, which is something that I'm looking for right now. I have enough contact hitters on my team.

Here's how both are doing so far in the season. Inge has more homers, but Chavez has a way higher OBP than Inge.

I can't just yet. He just hit AAA. I'm going to give him maybe another month and a half till I make my decision on whether or not to call him up. He's been flying through the minors so far this season. He started in A at the beginning of the season and now he's in AAA. I'm hoping he doesn't hit a wall in AAA, as he could be a nice addition to my team if I make the playoffs.

Inge is a gold glover. I'm not sure how much defense plays into MVP but in the show, Inge makes some rediculous web gems for me at times.

I don't walk that often because I don't have enough patience to walk.

Thames's 3-Run Homer Is Icing On Cake For Tigers

Game Story
Tim Lincecum didn't pitch bad, but he didn't pitch that well either. He only gave up 4 hits to the Tigers, but 2 of them were homers and those 4 hits also accounted for 4 of the Tigers' 5 runs. Miguel Cabrera homered off of Lincecum in the 1st and Marcus Thames had a 3-run homer in the 6th.

Justin Verlander looked magnificent on the mound, despite giving up 9 hits to the Giants. He only allowed 1 run over 8 2/3 innings against the Giants. His strong outing resulted in him getting his 8th win of the season.

Game Story
The Giants did not have much success at all in this game against Jeremy Bonderman. They were only able to scrap out one run off of 7 hits; the run came off of a wild pitch, which allowed Aaron Rowand to score from third in the 2nd inning.

The Tigers offense supported Bonderman's pitching efforts, as three Tigers batters had triples, which resulted in 4 Tigers runs and another victory against the Giants. The Tigers have had back-to-back games where they've just allowed one run to the Giants. The Giants need to get their offense together if they want to avoid the sweep tomorrow against Edwin Jackson.

Giants Win Dramatic One Against Detroit

Game Story
There have been many talks about Giants starter Matt Cain being an early candidate for the National League Cy Young award. He didn't particularly look like a candidate with his performance in this game against the Tigers. The Tigers came into the game looking for a sweep of the Giants.

Matt Cain allowed 2 homers, which accounted for 3 of his 5 earned runs on the day. Cain allowed a total of 10 hits; Cain has had multiple starts where he's allowed 10+ hits. Edwin Jackson also allowed a homer, which was one that he gave up to Aaron Rowand in the 2nd inning.

The Giants and the Tigers both had their starters out of the game going into the 7th inning and they kept going at it. The Tigers would score and the Giants would retaliate. Eventually, the game got into extra innings and it reached a halt in the 13th inning. The Giants seemed fell into a slight hole, as Noah Lowry allowed a run in the 13th inning. The Giants had to score a run to tie the game in the bottom of the 13th. They were able to do so. Pinch Hitter Rich Aurilia grinded out a walk against Luke French, which tied the game. Then, Nate Schierholtz took the plate and lightly hit the ball. Delmon Young darted home and he was able to score before the catcher was able to tag him out; the Giants won 8-7 against the Tigers and avoided the sweep.
