Los Angeles-- Manny Ramirez is back. Manny is being Manny again this year and after reupping in the middle of Spring Training with the Dodgers he is paying back the team for waiting on him to ponder his options with league best totals in Home Runs and RBIs for the Division leading Dodgers (5-1). Ramirez has been helped by rookie pitcher Clayton Kershaw who has not given up a run in his two starts this season.

"I'm happy man." Ramirez said after a recent game versus Arizona in which he hit a home run and earned 5 RBIs," We are having success early and I think we can win the title this year. With Manny at the helm it's a lock."

Whether or not the Dodgers win the World Series this year is up in the air after only 6 games but something that is guaranteed is that Manny Ramirez is back.

Game Recap:

Adam Lind is the equivalent of the Pope to Torontonians right about now.

The third year outfielder who was playing for Travis Snider-who was given the day off- had the best RBIs of his short career in yesterday's game. Lind's first RBI came in the bottom of nineth with two outs and runners at first and second, Lind crushed a Brad Ziegler pitch into left field which scored Jose Bautista and tied the game 3-3.

Cue extra innings.

Scott Downs was perfect for the Jays yesterday shutting down the A's for 3.1 innings in relief after starter David Purcey went 7.2 innings in a masterpiece start. Downs would allow only 3 hits in those 3.1 innings and most notably, struck out Matt Holliday with the bases loaded and two outs in the eighth inning.

'Pitching has really kept us in every game this year. From starters to relievers we are stacked in that category." Blue Jays manager Cito Gaston said about his pitchers.

Lind would strike again in the bottom of the eleventh when he hit a walk off double off Santiago Casilla that would score Lyle Overbay and give the Jays the tough 4-3 win.

"Adam was amazing for us. He bailed us out not once, but twice and I could see him starting in the future." Jays center fielder Vernon Wells said of the California native.

The Jays and A's play in the series rubber match tomorrow at 1:05 when Sean Gallagher (1-0, 2.08) goes against Casey Janssen (0-1, 10.57).

Is there anything you don't like about this chise or that can be improved?
I've noticed this hasn't really gotten as much love as most of the other chises in the MLB section and I thought it might be something I'm doing wrong.

Im not a huge fan of the layout, and it looks like it takes a loong time to do, so maybe switch over to a different looking one. Heres your banner: lemme know if you want anything changed.

Also it only takes like 10-15 minutes per game update, the longest part is getting the pics for the players but I think that the pics make the update look better, lol

McDonald, Lind moved into the starting lineup

TORONTO -- A day after delivering two clutch RBIs for the Toronto Blue Jays, Adam Lind got some good news.

"I believe that changes need to be made to get this team back on a winning track and by inserting Adam [Lind] and Johnny Mac [John McDonald] into the starting lineup we can upgrade our team immensely." Blue Jays manager Cito Gaston said of the move.

Lind -- who is batting .415 with 2 RBIs -- will replace rookie Travis Snider who has dissapointed this season batting only .217 through 10 games.

McDonald has been the starter in six straight games for the Jays while incumbent Marco Scutaro nurses an injury and was a big reason the Jays split a series with the Minnesota Twins earning himself a game winning home run in the process.

"I'm happy to be given this chance but I know I will have to pull my weight if I want to stay in the lineup." Lind said during Batting Practice Saturday.

McDonald, who was subject to many trade rumors at last year's trade deadline is just happy to still be in a Blue Jays uniform.

"I really thought I was going to be traded last year but I guess J.P. and Cito had faith in me and hopefully I can deliver." The defensive specialist said.

The Blue Jays play the Oakland Athletics in the rubber match of there three game series on Sunday when Casey Janssen will be opposed by young Sean Gallagher.

Gallagher shuts down Jays, Holliday gets 4 RBIs in A's enslaught

Game Recap:

"Terrible."

That word could sum up the Toronto Blue Jays effort in the rubber match against the Oakland Athletics at the Rogers Center.

The Jays sent inconsistent Casey Janssen to the hill and he did little to help and left the Jays in a 3-0 deficit after one inning. Janssen lasted only three innings and is expected to be sent down to Triple-A Las Vegas after a terrible start of a season.

After Janssen left the Jays would turn to there bullpen, one of the best units in the league. They faired no better as they gave up 5 runs throughout the rest of the game including a 2 run Matt Holliday triple and a 2 run Eric Chavez double.

"I think that Casey really put us in a bad spot considering he barely gave us any time on the mound today. You can't blame the guys in the bullpen for having to finish the last six innings of the game when they usually spend only one or two out." A Blue Jays player who asked not to be named said of the pitching performance.

Oakland starter Sean Gallagher was the farthest away from Janssen in regards to performance pitching seven strong innings and yielding only three hits. The Blue Jays have had a lot of trouble getting hits off of mediocre starters like the former Cub, having made young Central pitchers such as Armando Gallarraga and Glen Perkins look like the Johan Santana's and Tim Lincecum's of the league.

Vernon Wells was the lone bright spot for the Jays yet again, hitting his fourth solo home run of the year off Joey Devine in the nineth.

"It makes me mad man that Vernon keeps hitting solo shots because we have no one on base. We need some guys to step up and help Vernon provide offense." Jays skipper Cito Gaston said.

The Jays have Monday off before playing a three game series against the West leading Texas Rangers at Rogers Center.
