The Blue Jays were on the wrong side of a 6-3 tally in Toronto last night, as the Rangers collected the win in front of 9,076 fans at Rogers Center. Jesse Litsch (0-4) continued his losing ways, giving up 4 runs and 11 hits in 5 innings, pushing his losing streak to 4 games. John McDonald drove in 1 run on 3 hits helping the club pick up the win. Game Recap:

Another day, another loss.

After a sweep at the hands of the Texas Rangers at home this past week, the Blue Jays were looking to get back on track with a solid performance versus the Chicago White Sox.

Solid they were not in game one however as the Sox bats rocked starter David Purcey for six runs in five innings and Sox starter John Danks threw a complete game -- his second of the season -- in front of a large crowd at U.S. Cellular Field last night in Chicago.

Purcey started out great, pitching three no hit innings to start the game but he fell apart after giving up two leadoff walks to Carlos Quentin and Jim Thome.

Enter Konerko who had been slumping so far this year having only batted .222 with two home runs and six RBIs. Konerko tore Purcey's very first pitch to straight away center for a three run dinger to open the scoring and begin the onslaught. He would add another RBI later in the game.

"It's definetely dissapointing but hopefully Casey can show up tomorrow and give us a good outing." Jays manager Cito Gaston said after yesterday's loss.

Casey Janssen (0-2, 10.56 ERA) takes the mound to face off against Gavin Floyd (2-1, 5.50) one of last seasons breakout stars.

Gaston: "Janssen here for now"

KANSAS CITY, Ks -- After a terrific pitching performance from Scott Richmond to end the Jays' six game winless streak, Manager Cito Gaston must have been feeling good about his team because yesterday he gave a bit of good news of his own.

His message? Casey Janssen has not lost his job.

Yet.

The Orange, California native has started the season with a string of bad starts and currently sits with an 0-2 record with a 9.19 ERA. Ever baseball prognistacator and there brother assumed Janssen would be sent to Triple-A Las Vegas for seasoning in return for the veteran Matt Clement.

"Casey improved a lot on Saturday with his start and we'll keep him here until we see as he is not pulling his weight. Really we will be grading him after every start." Gaston said after the Jays' recent 1-0 win over the Sox.

The Blue Jays open up a four game series in Kansas City Monday in which Janssen will pitch in the last game against former Oakland A Lenny Dinardo.

ARLINGTON, TX-- The AL West leasing Texas Rangers have a secret weapon and his name is not Josh Hamilton.

Instead it is Hamilton's clean up guy Chris Davis who is tied for the AL lead with seven home runs in April. Davis also is second in the AL in average (.448) and RBIs (26) while leading the Rangers to a 13-6 record.

"I think that it helps to have someone like Josh batting before you because he will most likely always get on base but you definetely can see the skill in Davis' play." Manager Ron Washington said of the converted first basemen.

Jays pursuing Edmonds and Sexson

KANSAS CITY, Ks -- A day after producing there best offensive output of the season the Toronto Blue Jays announced that they are pursuing two sluggers who could provide even more offense.

Former All Star's Jim Edmonds and Richie Sexson are reportedly being pursused by the team and those same reports indicate that the Jays are close to signing Edmonds to a one year deal to fill in as a DH.

"We are looking at options in free agency right now and Edmonds and Sexson have particularly intrigued us." GM J.P. Riccardi said of the proposed moves.

Of the two, Edmonds' deal is more likely to go through because of the fact the Blue Jays acquired another slugging first basemen in free agency -- Kevin Millar -- this past offseason and Millar has been one of the few offensive bright spots. Edmonds offers not only a bat but an amazing glove that has earned him 8 Gold Glove awards. Edmonds finished the season with 13 Home Runs and 42 RBIs after being traded to the Chicago Cubs at midseason after an underwhelming tenure as a San Diego Padre.

The Blue Jays continue there four game series versus Kansas City tonight when Jesse Litsch (0-4, 4.88) takes the hill against Kyle Davies (2-1, 6.32).
