the way the season is going, i could see Jake Fox being a potential fit. They need someone who can hit in the middle of the line up.

I want to be realistic but I also want to have fun. In my mets chise I see lots of top guys on the rumor mill.

I am looking for a SP and 2B. Do you guys have any ideas? Some of the guys on the rumor mill:

- Peavy
- Kuo
- A.Gonzales
- Kuroda
- Dempster
- Marmol
- F.Hernandez
- Kazmir
- Lester

and some others. I know the teams leading the division wouldn't trade there top guys unless they had a big need. I am thinking the cellar dwellers would be more willing. These
teams are pretty much out of the playoffs:

- SEA
- BAL
- SDP
- ARZ
- COL
- SFG
- HOU

I am looking to replace Luis castillo - with a 2B that can bat 2nd (Good Contact) and I am also looking to replace either Oliver Perez or John Maine in the Rotation...

Placido Polanco is a great contact 2B that can hit #2. He isn't bad at all defensively either.

I don't know honestly. I don't follow MLB trade rumors much. Although he is on a 1yr contract with them atm.

See how he is performing with them. If he's struggling, you can create a storyline around that. I think he is 31 years old. Don't remember.

Yeah, Polanco is getting older and you do not really hear much about him..you could probably get a deal for him.

And to get Peavy you would probably have to give up a lot of prospects for him. I would keep Maine in the rotation but probably get Perez out of there..

Erik Bedard of Seattle has been rumored to be shopped. I bet you could grab their 2B as well if you paid a pretty penny.

What do you guys think I need to give up from the Giants to get Eric Chavez? I was thinking of possibly moving Pablo Sandoval back to catcher because Bengie Molina is struggling really badly. I also need a decent SS because Edgar Renteria sucks ass. Any ideas of how I should get at SS?

Dan Uggla+Webb is the best option, but damn you would have to give up all of your farm system, something the Mets wouldn't really want to do. I could see you doing all of those except for Baltimore, they just inked Roberts to a big extension not too long ago and want him as the man at the top of their lineup.

A couple other Shortstops that could be available are guys like Miguel Tejada, Felipe Lopez(plays 2nd but has played short before). But these guys would probably only be traded if there team was out of it though.

I am going to try the Uggla trade 1st. I can probably deal with my pitching if it takes to much to get Uggla.

May also try the houston option. I believe Hou has been looking into moving Oswalt.

eric chavez can be had easily, but i dont think hes the best option

go for mark teahen of the royals, can play corner outfield/3rd/1st

for SS look for tejada or adam kennedy/bobby crosby of the a's
