Most Improved NFL Player?

Reggie bush had like 500 yards rushing in 07,brees is on pace to beat marino's record,Roddy White wasn't as deadly until he got matt ryan qbing for him,andre disappeared last year.just mentionables not prime candidates
 
most improved fellas...ronnie brown before his injury led the league in yards from scrimmage last year, lets forget about him...and Andre Johnson is IMO a top5 reciever if not top 3, he has injury problems wich hurt his numbers but a true football fan knows this guys a monster. LenDale White is getting more carries, and the line is much improved so of course his numbers are up...Jason Campbells first 2 yrs,17 int... he fumbled 13 times last yr alone. He's averaging over a yard per completion more then his career best, he already has 8 tds no picks yet, his career best for tds is 12. his completion percent is up over 6% then his career best. He is making a very strong push...Orton is much improved too its a hard one...

Most improved offensive player: Campbell/Orton
Most Improved Defensive player: Finnegan/Haynesworth(he was good before but this year he is a monster) and my homer pick is Jugua Parker who is having a real solid year under the radar

It hurts to say campbell as a eagles fan, but he looks like a completely different player now...we'll see if it last and have this conversation in another 2 months lol

Ok Reggie Bush has 294 rushing yards right now and is hurt.
Brees was second in the league in passing yards last year only to Tom Brady.
Roddy White was tied for 8th in the league in receiving yards.
Andre Johnson was hurt last year, only played in 9 games and still scored 8 time.

Where is your improvement here? Brees, White and Johnson stayed playing at a high level and Reggie Bush hasn't showed up yet.
 
Reggie Bush isn't a true "runningback". Why don't you check how many catches and yards he has receiving. It isn't fair to say he hasn't shown up when he isn't expected to get huge rushing numbers.


As for the thread, I'd say for offense its Orton, defense Porter.

If he was an official wide reciever would you? i think he wouldnt do half as good lining up outside. It sucks but there are some very quality players from that years draft that could of helped new orleans more.
 
Easily Orton of Campbell.

Roddy White had his coming out season last year and this season he's just continuing on it. It's great to see him go from potential bust to top 5 receiver (statistically this year anyway) In a couple of years.

Do you know how much of an impact Bush has by just being on the field? He isn't nor will he ever be a true runningback. New Orleans knows this so they let him do what hes great at by throwing short passes to him in the flats(which are basically extended hand offs) and let him make people miss. Obviously he isn't going to take it to the house everytime, but who does? I can tell by your arguments that you just look at stats and assume. Stats don't tell how much of an impact he has on the field for the Saints.

I would take Bush top 5 every time. I'd like to hear who would have helped the Saints more too, btw.
 
Bush is a threat in so many ways for new orleans and makes such a difference , like bones sed id love to know who could of made a bigger impact so far for new orleans , id draft bush top 5 everytime in that draft class . Hes a constant threat and u always gotta keep ur eye on him to see where he is , his rookie season they went to the confrence championship and he made some big plays for them on the way so please who could of had a bigger impact for them?

New Orleans never drafted Reggie Bush to be a 30 attempts a game running back in the first place , they knew what they were getting from him , hes an all round player . Rushing , Receiving , Speical teams hes a threat on all of them

NO hes not a shout for most improved or anything for me btw

He's played some decent games, but i wouldn't go so far as to say he's the most improved player in the entire NFL, most improved on the colts maybe.

how is no one saying Phillip Rivers, they guy is leading the league in TD passes.

I always liked Rivers and think he is the best QB in his class, and hes backing it up right now.

No one is saying riviers cuz this is a Most Improved thread. Rivers was decent last year, he's just doing a little better this season.
 
Orton would be my number one pick, but what are your thoughts on Drew Brees. I know he was a great quarterback in the past, but last year we heard nothing about him, this year he is turning in record setting numbers. That should say something in itself.

Andre Johnson is a fucking monster, watch him play, see the catches he makes, and the numbers he puts up...yeah T.O. is great with a good QB...Moss had his best yr wit a great QB and is now slowed down, not his fault but still....He isnt in most improved discussion anyways, so it doesnt matter...

Bush makes plays im not hatin on him but he is NOT a #2 ovr selection...i see what hes done for his team...and obviously with brees they shouldnt of took cutler...but another notable list of players that could of really helped them but would have been reaches are names like :Maurice jones drew(he can actually block too) Greg Jennings(seeing they didnt know colston was going to be so good) Demeco Ryans, AJ Hawk, Ernie Sims, Donte Whitner, BRANDON MARSHALL, Cortland Finnegan...BUSH WAS THE BEST PICK...not best player...what he has done has helped, it gave hope to a team and city that was devastated, in that spot they were almost stuck having to pick him, and he did lift the team, but they did have some bigger needs, they still had NO defense, a shotty at best WR core, and duece mcallister wasnt doin too bad then...dont jump on me for my opinions and get all pissed off at me, thats why its an opinion, thats why we all post here, its why u joined this community to hear from other people
 
hey man panthers are my second fav team...so lets do some numbers here i gaurantee u think steve smith is top 5 too...which i do think that...but johnson was out most of 2007...so lets go to 2006 andre johnson had 103 catches 1147 yards and 5 tds.....Steve Smith had 83 catches 1166 and 8 tds....johnson had less yardage but he makes catches and he is the ONLY offensive playmaker for the texans...if andre johnson was in NE, Dal, Phi, NY, Ind he would prob be number 1 on most peoples lists...watch him play, see how often he makes great catches on horrible passes, and i dont smoke crack, so i cant put down the pipe i dont own...so lets not take it too personal sweetheart


and 73% of Johnson's catches are for first downs, he moves the chains for his team...thats better the s.smith,c.johnson, T.O., R.Moss, H.Ward, T.Gonzalez, R.Wayne,G.Jennings, S.Moss, R.White, W.Welker, B.Marshall, and TJ.Houshmandzadeh just to name a few...best WR isnt always numbers its how much they actually help a team

The qb thing you can say the same for any wr that can catch,a good thrown ball will make anybody who can catch look good.
