Whether its legal or not ,no matter what an artist , dev , producer say. Its not a lost dollar unless theres a lost sale.Anything beyond that is about frustration over content control. Thats another issue entirely.

Spending 25$ a month on game fly or buying it used doesnt do a thing for Developers. In there eyes its the same as piracy.

Bottom line...If I could download a piece of steak Id do it in a heart beat.

The only things I really pirate are older wrestling PPVs that I would have absolutely no chance to get my hands on or older shows that they never made DVD collections for. I rarely do movies and I wouldn't even consider doing games because I want to support the industry.

There are no shades of moral gray in pirating TV programs. To the MPAA/RIAA, TV programs are the same thing as games. Both are violations of the DCMA.

I'd have to guess that with ABC, they are expressing permission for you to do it..whereas with a torrent, there's not that..

Where can you download whole shows from networks? If I want to watch an ABC show i missed i have to go to ABC.com and watch it through their video player. Im subjected to commercials just like i would be if i watched it on tv. So if you at least watch it on their website they can use website views to sell in program commercials that way.

The copy that you download from a torrent site does not include commercials like it would on ABC approved online viewing sites and commercial revenues are how the networks make their money to pay for programming. The only way you are ever authorized to watch without commercials or on screen bugs is if you fork over the money for the season collection on DVD.

Another thing. One of the main reasons I stopped pirating like I did on the PC was because it was getting to the point where it was just a major pain in the ass to get some of the games to work. My friggen host file has about 100 servers blocked just to play those games and I remember games like the doom 3 expansion where I had to totally play with the internet off when it first came out because the server they used for it was dynamic. I just said f it and started buying them. It helped though around the same time I started making good money and paying $50 to $60 for a game wasn't that big of a deal.

People who are playing Forza/Borderlands right now because retailers broke release date rules aren't having problems. It's idiots who played copies of their games LONG before they are able to abgx verified (usually day of release) that got banned.

Unfortunately for your point , you decided to use the most "gray" piece of legislation passed on the matter. DMCA was intentionally bought and written with vagueness as a "well add to it later" piece of law.
"Morals" have no place in this discussion. Prior to the DMCA being written recording and sharing were of little interest except for bands at concerts. You dont change Morals by passing a loosely written law.

Wrong. Fair usage rights predate the DMCA and covered this along with music recordings and sharing. TV studios last the FFWD battle awhile ago. They had to settle with an agreement not to label it "commercial skip".
You only need authorization to distribute commercial free in 'digital' format and even then its not set in stone.

You know someone has to BUY the game before the rip it and upload it right ?

In both scenarios ((or all 3 if you include rentals)) one or a few amounts of purchases are made that result in exponentially more people playing than have purchased.

All 3 are the same exact practice. The only differences are the laws that govern them. Developers see all 3 as wrong and bad for business. The cant do anything about rentals and used games because they are legal((ironically the 2 methods that make money are legal)).
If Devs had there way theyd be outlawed and then Mr Bill would be here telling us we're morally wrong for lending our copies to neighbors.
