The Washington Wizards, coming off of two straight wins against the Detroit Pistons, stayed at home to play game four of the first round between the two teams.
The Pistons got off to a fast start, dominating early. Richard Hamilton was finding his stroke for the first time all series, and Allen Iverson and Tayshaun Prince were both contributing well too. Rasheed Wallace was having trouble early on, missing a lot of jumpers that he usually makes.
Caron Butler was the game's high-point man, dropping 24 for the Wizards. JaVale McGee and Lamar Odom combined for 28 points, and Daequan Cook was able to score ten points off of the bench.
The Wizards tied the game with 7.2 seconds left off of a Daequan Cook slam dunk, but the Pistons had Tayshaun Prince hit a hook shot as time expired to win the game for the Pistons.
The series will shift back to Detroit for game five, both teams tied 2-2.
